From Bank To Home On Switch With A 3ds
If you’ve still got a 3DS or 2DS lying around, here’s how to transfer with those devices. Pokemon Bank and Transporter are free until March 12, so if you never downloaded the app before, now’s the time to do it if you want to move your Pokemon over.
Pokemon Bank
- From the main menu, choose “Move Pokemon to Pokemon Home”
- Pick which boxes you want to transfer over
- After you’ve chosen them all, press “Y” and then choose “Yes”

- Select “Ready”
- Pick “Display”
- This brings up a key code called a Moving Key, which you’ll enter into Pokemon Bank.
Pokemon Bank Again
- Within three minutes of getting your Moving Key, enter it back in Pokemon Bank
After this, the move will take place. Once the move is done, you can choose how you want to arrange your boxes and Pokemon in Pokemon Home.

All you have to actually do is to make sure that each of the existing 8 boxes that you’re granted at the start of the game has a least one Pokemon inside it, before exiting the PC in the Pokemon Centre. When you load back in, you’ll actually notice that there are now 16 boxes instead of the original 8. However, this isn’t the end of the line when it comes to size of your boxes. Well, the number, at least.
How To Use The Pc Box Link In Pokemon Sword And Shield
Youre given the Pokemon Box Link pretty early on in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Once you have it youll be able to access your Boxes remotely. This is a welcome change to how things used to work, as it means you wont have to hit up a Pokemon Center to change your party. To use the Pokemon Box Link press X to head into the main menu. Select Pokemon and then press R to access the Box. You can then cycle through your collection of Pokemon and swap them out.

What Are Research Tasks
Research Tasks are exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version and require you to deposit specific Pokémon from Sword and Shield and Lets Go, Eevee and Pikachu. For example, the Dusty Bowl Research Task asks for a Eldegoss, Hattrem, and Frillish.
Note that the Pokémon required to complete the tasks need to be from the respective region. Importing a Frillish from Pokémon Bank will not fulfill the task for the Galar region.

How Do I Register Pokmon In My Pokdex
Importing Pokémon from Pokémon Bank to Home will import the Pokédex data with it. Itll also show all of the different Pokémon forms for Pokémon like Rotom.
Linking to the Nintendo Switch games will not take the Pokédex data from the game, but it will after you import the Pokémon. It will not register Gigantamax variants unless you send a Gigantamax-able Pokémon to Home.
At the time of writing, it seems like the mobile version registers the Pokémon into the Pokédex slowly, so you might have to wait before all the entries fill in on your phone.
How Do I Trade Pokmon With Other People
You can only trade Pokémon from the mobile app, but there are multiple ways to trade:
- Wonder Box: Place up to three Pokémon in the box and have them randomly traded with another player. This is similar to the Wonder Trade system in Pokémon games.
- Global Trade System : Put a Pokémon up for trade while requesting a specific Pokémon in return. You can also search for a Pokémon youre looking for, see what others are asking for, and trade with them.
- Room Trade: Trade with a small room of other players. Your Pokémon will randomly be traded among the players in the room. Only premium players can host a Room Trade, though basic subscription players can join them.
- Friend Trade: Trade locally with somebody on your friends list.

How To Use The Box Link
The Box link is simply a link to the Pokemon Storage System, allowing you to swap out team members from virtually anywhere. While the Pokemon storage boxes are far more accessible than they ever have been, there are still a few instances where you won’t be able to link up.

The first thing to do is to install Pokémon HOME on the phone where you play Pokémon GO, if you haven’t already. You dont need to sign in or create a Nintendo account in Pokémon HOME just yet, but you can if you like.
Whether youre like me and dont have Nintendo account or you already play Pokémon on any other devices with a Ninendo, you just need to be careful to read the messages in Pokémon HOME to ensure youre tapping the right buttons as you cant change your mind later about linking accounts.
Anyway, the process to link the two apps is as follows.

How Do I Transfer Pokmon From Older Games
Many older games like Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, and Pearl have methods of transfer between them. Using a Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS and the in-game methods , you can move your Pokémon to Pokémon Bank. From there, you can transfer them to Pokémon Home.
Transferring from Pokémon Bankto Home also requires a premium subscription.

If you played Pokecord, youre basically up to speed already. In PokeTwo, every time someone posts a regular chat message there is a chance of a Pokemon spawning in response. This means no chatting, no pokemon, ever! There are also anti-spam features that limit how often one person can spawn a pokemon: one person spamming over and over still wont spawn Pokemon. The best way to spawn pokemon is a lot of people having a real conversation and talking back and forth! Yes, thats what PokeCord was originally designed to encourage!
Only real, generally back-and-forth chatting generates Pokemon! Spamming the chat with repeated lines from one person will not reliably generate pokemon, nor is there a spawn command or anything of the sort! Most people forget, but Pokecord was designed to encourage chatting on a Discord server. If youre sitting silently waiting for Pokemon you are playing Pokecord clones wrong. Say hi in a general chat channel and make a dialog to get Pokemon spawning.
The one exception is if you buy incense, which spawns a pokemon every 20 seconds for an hour.
If you just want to force Pokemon to appear, you want to play PokeMeow or Myuu instead. There is to my knowledge no bot that just constantly spawns pokemon with 0 input like some people seem to want. Also note PokeTwos spawn rate seems to have been massively nerfed.
