- Wonder Box: Place up to three Pokémon in the box and have them randomly traded with another player. This is similar to the Wonder Trade system in Pokémon games.
- Global Trade System : Put a Pokémon up for trade while requesting a specific Pokémon in return. You can also search for a Pokémon youre looking for, see what others are asking for, and trade with them.
- Room Trade: Trade with a small room of other players. Your Pokémon will randomly be traded among the players in the room. Only premium players can host a Room Trade, though basic subscription players can join them.
- Friend Trade: Trade locally with somebody on your friends list.
Placing Pokmon In Wonder Trade

If you accidentally choose the wrong Pokémon, you can withdraw it if you move quickly. First tap on the Pokémon you want to take out of Wonder Trade.

Any Pokémon that you deposit in Pokémon Home will be registered to your National Pokedex . The mobile version of Pokémon Home lets you see each Pokémons Abilities and all the moves its capable of learning, too.
In the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon Home, you can get Mystery Gifts for Pokémon Home, and you may also receive codes in your Mystery Gifts which you can then use in Pokémon Sword or Shield.

We explained the basics of the Room Trade feature here, but theres clearly more than just hopping into a room together and swapping creatures. These Trade Rooms are basically mini Wonder Trade systems in a way, and theres a lot of things that can be quite confusing. So lets get into the nitty gritty, starting with your choices for how to manage Trade Rooms.
After selecting the Room Trade feature you can either start your own public room, join one with a code, scan someones code to join them, or join a random open room. No matter which you choose the system will perform similarly. First off, each room can either be setup where you see which Pokémon the other players have picked, or they are kept hidden.
After everyone loads up into the same Trade Room a timer will count down to when you can pick the Pokémon you wish to trade. Let it expire then pick whichever character youre willing to give up. The other players will do the same, and once they do or the timer runs out all the Pokémon will be jumbled together and passed out to all the players. So basically, if you have five trainers in a Trade Room you are performing a random, Wonder Trade with only those five players.

Since Pokemon Sword and Shield, and Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee are on the Nintendo Switch, the process for transferring Pokemon from those games to Pokemon Home is considerably easier. Be wary that while Pokemon from Let’s Go can be moved to Sword and Shield, they can’t then be transferred back to Let’s Go only Sword and Shield have the ability to transfer to and fro.
On Pokemon Home as long as you’re using it on the same Nintendo Switch console as your Pokemon Sword and Shield or Pokemon Let’s Go save files select Pokemon from the main menu. This will display your relevant save files, and selecting either one will show your Pokemon Home boxes on the left along with your in-game boxes on the right. Drag and drop any Pokemon you like from one to the other, then hit + to save. Any Pokemon that aren’t currently in the Pokemon Sword and Shield Pokedex cannot be brought forward into it though.
That’s all there is to it! A seriously convoluted process if you want to bring forward some of your oldest Pokemon, but worth it to have your best pals with you in the latest games. Hopefully, when Gen 9 eventually rolls around, Nintendo will stick with the Pokemon Home service to keep things simple!

These games work natively with Pokémon Bank, so you should be able to download Pokémon Bank, put the desired cartridge in your 3DS, and add them to the Pokémon Bank boxes. You can press Start on your 3DS to select multiple Pokémon at once, too. Make sure all if the Pokémon you want to move to Home are in Bank.
Fire up Pokémon Home on your Nintendo Switch and select the Move option from the main menu. If youre using the mobile app, open the menu, go to settings, and select Move. Select the option on the 3DS to move from Pokémon Bank to Home, and select all the boxes you want to move to Home.
After starting the moving process on your Switch, Pokémon Home will give you a code to input on your 3DS. Enter the code, and the transfer process will begin, moving your selected Pokémon to Home.
Home will say that it cant be used while Pokémon are transferring, so check back in a couple minutes to make sure your Pokémon made it through safely.

How Do I Use The Judge Function
The Judge function, or IV Judge, is a way to analyze your pokémons individual values, or IVs. Each stat category, including HP and Defense, have a rating from No Good to Best, which can only be seen by using the Judge function. The Judge also provides an overall rating for the pokémon based on their IVs, such as Ok Stats or Good stats.
The IV Judge is available in every game, usually after beating the main campaign. But Pokémon Home Premium users also have the ability to see all their pokémon IVs in both the mobile and Switch version.
In the Switch version, press Y to view the Base Points, then Y again for the Judge. In the mobile version, tap the stat hexagon graph to view the IVs.
