Perfecting the Pokedex
In order to further the odds of finding Shiny Pokemon, it is highly recommended to get the Research Level of your Pokemon to 10, then Perfect it by completing all of the Research Tasks.
Obtaining the Shiny Charm
The Shiny Charm can be obtained once all Pokemon pages have achieved Research Level 10. Raise your Research Level for every Pokemon to get the Shiny Charm.

Pokemon Legends Arceus Alpha Shiny Hunting Method
YouTuber astephen68 documented the new method on April 12 and confirmed that it worked later on his stream. The method is as simple as soft-resetting where a static Alpha Pokemon usually spawns, but there is a bit of a setup.
For this method to work, you first need to visit one of the new Massive Mass Outbreaks. Check your map and see if one of the outbreaks is located where a static Alpha would normally spawn. If not, then you need to find a new Massive Mass Outbreak.
Once youve found a proper Outbreak, go to the swarm that is in place of the Alpha spawn and clear it out either by catching or battling. After the reported Pokemon seem to be gone message appears on screen, stand near where the Alpha spawns and save.
Now your hunt should be set up. If you restart your game you should load back in with the static Alpha spawning nearby. Continue to restart your game until the Alpha is Shiny.
For those who have Shiny hunted legendary Pokemon in previous games, you already know about soft resetting. This isnt a method thats new to Pokemon as a franchise, but it is new to Legends Arceus.
You can also increase your odds of finding a Shiny Alpha by completing its Pokedex entry and obtaining the Shiny Charm.
Hunt During Clear Weather
It is highly recommended to hunt for Shiny Alpha Pokemon during a clear weather. This gives you the best visibility when flying across each map with Ride Pokemon Hisuian Braviary.
In addition, when the weather is foggy for instance, it would be much harder to catch the special Shiny animation Pokemon have in the field.
To make sure the weather is always clear, simply rest at Base Camps until the weather is clear.

Sword and Shield’s Wild Area introduced the camping mechanic to the Pokemon series, and one of the options available to you within a camp is to cook a curry for your Pokemon. Sometimes, wild Pokemon will be drawn in by the smell of the meal, and when they approach you, you have the option to catch them.
Curry Pokemon can indeed be shiny, making this a viable hunting method. The problem is that cooking a curry is a tedious process – far longer than the likes of a soft reset – and once you’ve cooked it, the odds of a Pokemon even showing up are slim.

How To Get Alpha Pokmon
Alpha Pokémon can show up at any time in the game once you have beaten the Noble Pokémon of that area. For every place with encounters, for each Pokémon that spawns, it also has a very small chance of being an Alpha Pokémon. This means every Pokémon encountered in the wild aside from Legendary & Mythical Pokémon has got a chance of being an Alpha. This ranges from a 0.2% chance to a 2% chance depending on the Pokémon, location and time of day.
There are also guaranteed Alpha Pokémon that roam around all the areas of the Hisui Region. These will respawn when you come back to the area after catching or defeating.
Alphas of a higher level to you will be harder to catch, the higher the level, the harder it gets
When you catch an Alpha Pokémon, you will get increased rewards for completing a survey, and some Pokémon have Research Tasks requiring you to catch Alpha Pokémon.
How Does Pokemon Spawning Work In Pokemon Legends: Arceus
This seems like as good a time as any to address PLA’s unique system for handling Pokemon spawns. While previous games with overworld spawns – namely Sword & Shield and Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl – would simply pop Pokemon in and out of existence at random, things in PLA are a little more complex.
Whenever you enter an area, the game generates a “seed” for that area. This determines the exact Pokemon that will spawn in every spawn location – their species, gender, size, and crucially, shininess. However, the seed generates more than just the Pokemon that spawn in straight away.
In addition to this initial batch, the seed comes up with a “queue” of Pokemon that will take the spawning spaces as they’re freed up. Spawning spaces can be freed up by catching or knocking out Pokemon, nightfall causing daytime spawns to despawn to make room for ghost-types, or simply waiting for Pokemon to despawn naturally. The despawn timer in PLA is incredibly slow, however, so don’t stress about a shiny despawning, and if you’re trying to clear out spawning spaces, KOing wild Pokemon will be a far more efficient method.
This is where returning to Jubilife Village comes in. By returning to Jubilife and then travelling back to the area you were in, you generate a new seed and a completely new set of Pokemon spawns. This is therefore the best way to get new Pokemon after you’ve completed a scan of the area.

Shiny Hunting Massive Mass Outbreaks
Unfortunately, you cannot return to Jubilife to advance the state of the game to reset the same outbreaks over and over. Each event is effectively one-and-done, so you have to continue checking fresh Massive Mass Outbreaks. To do this, simply enter an area and return to Jubilife Village to attempt to get a new Massive Mass Outbreak.
