Everything You Need to Know About Pokemon HOME

Now you’ve got the Pokemon you want to trade up to Pokemon Home on one of the Gen 4 games or the Gen 2 remakes, it’s time to get them onto Pokemon Black, Black 2, White, or White 2 . Once again, this is a one-way transfer so you can’t transfer them back once they’ve been brought forward.

In order to do this trade, you need to have two Nintendo DS consoles. One console needs to have the Gen 4 game inserted, while the other needs the Gen 5 game.

In-game requirements

In any of the four Gen 5 games, you need to ensure you’ve beaten the Elite Four and entered the Hall of Fame. Then head to the Poke Transfer Lab on Route 15. Talk to the scientist at the top of the lab.

How to trade

Once you’ve done that, select the option to use another Nintendo DS then select DS Wireless Communications. Turn on the other console and select DS Download Play. Select the game with the same ID number as your Gen 5 game in the first console, then select Yes. Pick the six Pokemon you wish to transfer across then you’ll be introduced to a minigame.

How To Transfer Items Between Characters

Transferring items between characters is as easy as accessing the player stash. The player stash is a chest found in town hubs. Interacting with the chest will populate an inventory screen with multiple tabs. There is one Personal and three Shared tabs.

Moving items from your inventory into the Shared tabs will make the gear visible for any other characters that access the same tab of their own player stash. So if you have been running an Assassin for a few Acts and have stumbled across exciting gear for that Druid alt you have been meaning to create, throw the items in the Shared tab of your Assassins stash and youre good to go for that alternate playthrough.

Diablo II: Resurrectedis now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Pokmon Home: How To Transfer To And From Sword And Shield

The Crown Tundra DLC is finally here for Pokémon Sword and Shield. The Crown Tundra is full of new and returning Pokémon that you can catch, but what about your old friends that have faithfully fought by your side in older games? Alongside the Crown Tundra, The Pokémon Company is rolling out an update to Pokémon HOME that allows you to transfer over 100 additional species of Pokémon to Pokémon Sword and Shield. Pokémon HOME is free to download but requires a paid subscription for full functionality.

Can I Use Pokmon Home To Transfer My Original Gen 1 And 2 Pokmon From Pokmon Red / Blue / Yellow / Gold / Silver / Crystal On Game Boy To Pokmon Sword And Shield

Pokémon HOME: The ultimate guide

Unfortunately, no. The Pokémon you first caught two decades ago are forever trapped on those original Game Boy cartridges or on Pokémon Stadium. Of course, using various shady tactics and compromised hardware, enterprising Poké Trainers have been known to dump their original saves from the Game Boy carts, upload them to the 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red and Blue, and then move those to Pokémon Bank, but we shall not delve into those dark arts here.

No, it seems that ‘Stinkypoo’ the Pikachu, ‘Wormy’ the Weedle and ‘Metapoo’ the Metapod will die on our Game Boy carts along with the battery. Probably for the best, to be honest.

Will Pokmon Home Work With Future Pokmon Games

You’d hope so, wouldn’t you? Although from past experience perhaps we can expect an entirely new system that will unify the previous systems in a totally new and even more complicated manner.

We’re joking. With its mobile integration, it’s a good bet that Pokémon HOME will be the storage and trading app for all your Pokémon needs for the foreseeable future.

We’ll update this guide with more information over the next few days. We’ll also add new information regarding Pokémon GO compatibility as it becomes available.

Pokmon Go To Home Limitations Gigantamax Melmetal And Mystery Box Rewards And Other Things To Know About Transferring From Go To Home

Can You Transfer From Pokemon Home to Another Nintendo Switch?

There are a few other things to bear in mind when transferring Pokémon from Go to Home.

    • The first time you do so, you’ll recieve a Gigantamax Melmetal as a reward! You can claim it via the Mystery Gift function on the mobile version of Home only.
    • You’ll also be able to open a Mystery Box in Pokémon Go, causing Meltan to appear for a set period of time. More on that in our Melmetal and Mystery Boxes guide!
    • Not all Pokémon can be transferred from Go to Home. Specifically, you can’t transfer Spinda, Kyurem Black/White, any Shadow or Mega Evolved Pokémon, or any of the special event Pokémon that have an altered appearance, like Armoured Mewtwo, Party Hat Pikachu or the Flower Crown Eeveelutions.
    • Pokémon with different forms in Go will default to a specific form in Home . Specifically this will alter forms to:
      • Castform Sunny/Rainy/Snowy – Castform Normal
      • Meloetta Pirouette – Meloetta Aria
      • Genesect Burn/Chill/Douse/Shock – Genesect Normal
    • Certain Pokémon require you to have caught them or registered them in your Pokédex first, in order for you to transfer them from Home to Sword and Shield. In brief, these are all of the legendaries/mythicals catachable in Sword and Shield via Dynamax Adventures, plus Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Victini and Genesect. You can view the full list in the Home mobile app by going to Help – Other – Pokémon you can send to other games.

Do I Need To Purchase A Pokmon Home Premium Plan For Each Person That Wants To Use The Service

The subscription is for an individual membership only, so a separate subscription should be purchased for each player that wants to use all the features.

However, please keep in mind that a paid Premium Plan is not required to transfer Pokémon on Nintendo Switch. Anyone that can access Pokémon HOME on Nintendo Switch can transfer Pokémon to and from the compatible game save data for other players on the system.

    What Is Pokmon Home

Pokémon HOME is an app for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices that enables you to transfer compatible Pokémon from multiple previous games using the existing Pokémon Bank app to Pokémon Sword and Shield. You can also transfer compatible Pokémon from Pokémon GO, although that function isn’t yet available and is ‘coming soon’.

This infographic gives you an idea of how the app interacts with existing Pokémon games and services – we’ll explain how exactly below:

    Simple.

    How Much It’ll Cost

We now know Pokemon Home will be available both for free and as a premium paid for subscription service, and the The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have released details surrounding pricing on both iOS and Android and Nintendo Switch. The prices vary slightly between to the two platforms.

It’s worth noting that if you get it for free, you’ll only be able to transfer up to 30 Pokemon, while the Premium plan will let you transfer up to 6,000, and will also add certain features you can’t for free.

Below you can see the pricing for both platforms:

Pokemon Home 1.0.8 update reportedly fixes login issues ...

Since Pokemon Sword and Shield, and Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee are on the Nintendo Switch, the process for transferring Pokemon from those games to Pokemon Home is considerably easier. Be wary that while Pokemon from Let’s Go can be moved to Sword and Shield, they can’t then be transferred back to Let’s Go only Sword and Shield have the ability to transfer to and fro.

On Pokemon Home as long as you’re using it on the same Nintendo Switch console as your Pokemon Sword and Shield or Pokemon Let’s Go save files select Pokemon from the main menu. This will display your relevant save files, and selecting either one will show your Pokemon Home boxes on the left along with your in-game boxes on the right. Drag and drop any Pokemon you like from one to the other, then hit + to save. Any Pokemon that aren’t currently in the Pokemon Sword and Shield Pokedex cannot be brought forward into it though.

That’s all there is to it! A seriously convoluted process if you want to bring forward some of your oldest Pokemon, but worth it to have your best pals with you in the latest games. Hopefully, when Gen 9 eventually rolls around, Nintendo will stick with the Pokemon Home service to keep things simple!

If you make a Pokemon non-native to the Galar region hold an Everstone and breed it, you will get that same type. If you don’t use an Everstone, you’ll get the Galarian version. How To Get Meltan/Melmetal

    Meltan Melmetal

Melmetal can only be obtained through Pokemon Go, via Pokemon Pikachu and Eevee. This means you’ll have to catch it in Go, send it to Pikachu/Eevee, then send it to Home, then to your Sword/Shield file. Be careful, it can only be evolved in Pokemon GO, and you can’t send it back to GO once it’s been sent to Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee!

Pokmon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Aren’t Pokmon Home Compatible Until 2022

While there is no official launch date, a future update is expected to make Pokémon Home compatible with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl sometime in 2022, according to Pokemon.co.jp. The upcoming Pokémon Arceus is similarly expected to launch without access to Pokémon Home, but it will also receive an update to make it compatible sometime after its release on January 28, 2022. As a result, players will have to wait just a bit longer before they transfer their Pokémon to and from either of the upcoming titles.

Even so, fans of the series will at least be happy to hear that Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will include 493 Pokémon from the first four generations, which is even more than Pokémon Sword and Shield. With an impressive variety that includes several more Pokémon than the original Diamond and Pearl, players can enjoy catching Pokémon and building entirely new teams in the meantime. The extensive national Pokédex coupled with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl‘s brutal-sounding postgame should keep players busy while they wait for the release of the Pokémon Home update to reunite with their favorite Pokémon from previous games.
