Psychic-type Pokemon such as Drowzee or Kadabra are weak to Ghost or Dark moves. It’s best to equip your Pokemon with Shadow Ball to fill up your gauge quickly.

Pokemon Go Lugia Moveset

Being a Flying and Psychic-type, Lugia has the option to use both moves in battle. Interesting enough, Lugia doesnt have a Flying-type Fast attack so Pokemon that are weak to those moves like Mega Abomasnow could see some sustainability in battles against the Legendary.

However, Lugia will have two Flying-type Charged attack options including the new Aeroblast move. Sky Attack and Aeroblast will punish any Pokemon that are weak to Flying-type attacks so its a risk to bring a Pokemon like Mega Abomasnow.

Steel types like Magnezone will excel against Lugia. Both of Lugias Fast attacks are resisted by Steel types as well as three of the four Charged moves, the one outlier being Hydro Pump. Lugia isn’t going to make it easy on you by sittingstill while you’re trying to catch it. Don’t waste your Premier Balls bythrowing while it’s moving around. Watch Lugia to get a feel for itscycle of movement and the pauses in between that cycle. Pokémon GO has once again been invaded by those pesky Team GO Rocket Grunts, and what’s worse is that they have a wealth of different Pokémon combinations at their disposal.

The list of Pokémon that Grunts can have in Pokémon GO tends to change after major events, like Pokémon GO Fest 2021. As 2021 continues, many of the first and second slot Pokémon have been changed for the Team Go Rocket Grunts. Don’t forget that Shadow Pokémon do more damage , so they’re great options for battling the latest Pokémon GO raid bosses or in the GO Battle League.

With nineteen different types of encounters, each with a trio of monsters to choose from, it’s worth being prepared. The Pokémon GO Season of Mischief may also throw some spanners into the works and bring us some spooky surprises!

Frost Rotom Three Weaknesses

Theres one other form of Rotom thats worth mentioning, and its the Electric and Ice-type Frost Rotom, or Rotom-F. This bulky fridge might seem more defensive, but it has the same stats as Rotom-M with even more weaknesses and an even less accurate signature move of Blizzard.

This includes Fire-, Fighting-, and Rock-type moves, all of which are far too common among most Pokemon to not pose a serious risk to Fridge Rotom. Its fourth weakness is to Ground-type moves, which are thankfully negated by its Levitate ability, but effects like Gravity or Mold Breaker can easily get rid of this invulnerability.

Pokemon Go Type Chart: Strengths Effectiveness Weaknesses And Resistances Explained

In Pokemon Go, Every type of Pokemon has four different relationships with other types any trainer should be aware of. That is:

• Strong Against: represented on our type chart as Strong Vs, attacks from the listed type against the type listed here will deal additional damage to your opponent. This is ‘Super Effective’.
• Weak Against: represented here as Weak Vs, attacks from the listed type against these types will do less damage to the enemy. This is ‘Not very effective…’
• Resistance: listed as resist, taking attacks from this type will do much less damage to you.
• Vulnerable: your type’s weaknesses. Attacks of these types will deal more damage – watch out!

So, for instance, Offensively a Ground-type Pokemon/move is Strong against Poison, Rock, Steel, Fire and Electric types, dealing double damage to them. It only does 50% damage against Flying, Bug and Grass Pokemon. Defensively, that same Ground-type Pokemon will take reduced damage from Poison, Rock and Electric Pokemon but also take double damage from Water, Grass and Ice – which is vulnerable to.

With that explained, let’s get into the Pokemon Go type chart in full.

Which Strategies Or Pokemon Is This Mega Evolution Weak To

As it is a Normal-type and Flying-type Pokemon, there are three types that trainers are going to want to bring to a Mega Pidgeot raid: Electric, Rock and Ice. These all hit Flying-types for super effective damage.

If any trainer cant decide which type to bring, Electric-types typically beat Mega Pidgeot in the quickest time. The Pokemon with the lowest time to win are Shadow Electivire, Shadow Raikou and Shadow Magnezone. The regular forms of these Pokemon also perform very well.

One common thread between all of those Pokemon is access to the move Wild Charge. As one of the best Electric moves , it should be something trainers must prioritize if they catch these Pokemon.

The big reason why is because Wild Charge gets 90 base power off of only 50 energy used up. A Pokemon with this move can potentially use it twice in a raid, and theres no way Mega Pidgeot will survive two Wild Charges from any Pokemon with decent Attack.

Although Electric-types are the most effective against Mega Pidgeot, they definitely arent the only counters. Both Shadow Mamoswine and Shadow Tyranitar can beat this mega evolution quickly.

A couple of other more common Pokemon that do lots of damage to Mega Pidgeot are Luxray and Jolteon. Luxray gets access to Wild Charge, and Jolteon simply has a high enough Attack to make quick work of this raid. Many trainers might have a spare Eevee from its Community Day that they could evolve into Jolteon.

Logical Reasons For Steel

Steel-type Pokémon have three weaknesses, ten resistances, and one immunity.

Weaknesses

• Ground: Earthquakes destroy buildings.
• Fire: Extreme heat makes metal malleable.
• Fighting: Think of any superhero, like Captain Marvel or Superman, and how they constantly break buildings during fights.

Resistances

• Rock: Rocks will break on steel.
• Grass: Plants can’t root themselves in steel.
• Flying: Birds can’t fly through steel structures.
• Psychic: Nobody can bend steel with their mind.
• Ice: Ice cannot break steel.
• Fairy: Fairies are depicted as guardians of nature, and man-made structures, like steel, destroy nature.
• Bug: No bug can chew through steel.
• Steel: Two metals of the same density have a hard time destroying the other.
• Dragon: Knights in steel armor are protected from the dragon’s claws.
• Normal: Regular animals can’t harm a steel structure.

Immunity:

• Poison: Diseases have absolutely no effect on inorganic material.

Best Counters For Bug Type Pokemon

Make sure to bring a Fire Pokemon when faced with Scizor as it only has one weakness – Beedrill is also weak to Fire-type moves. Rock Pokemon can also be great against Beedrill.

Pokmon Type Effectiveness And Weakness Chart

Our type chart presents the 18 Pokémon types in attack and defence scenarios. To use it, simply find your Pokémons type to see what its attacks are strong and weak against, and what it is resistant and vulnerable to when defending.

• Types bolded in square brackets are subject to a further cut in effectiveness in the mainline games these are outright immunities
• If a type is not listed, damage is neutral
• The strength of an attack is increased if the attack type is strong against both types of a dual type Pokémon
• Type resistance and vulnerability effectively cancel each other out on dual type Pokémon

Note that attack and defence type relationships are not identical e.g. types may be resistant to types when defending that they are not super effective against when attacking.

Remember, things get even more interesting when Pokémon of dual types crop up and you have to factor in additional strengths and weaknesses.

With Ice-type Pokemon, it’s best to use Pokemon that can exploit their double weaknesses. For example, Abomasnow can be extremely weak to Blaziken’s Fire/Fighting type or Heatran’s Fire/Steel type.

Using Electrodes For Offense & Defense

Besides the points and Exp earned from beating Electrodes, the more clever players can trigger Explosion attacks both to damage unobservant enemies or cover ones retreat.

If one sees an opponent farming wild pokemon near an Electrode, those with ranged attacks can simply hit the Electric-type pokemon once in order to trigger their angry eruption, potentially causing that farming foe to get caught in the blast if they do not move out of the way.

Alternatively, if players are heading along a speedway toward the adversaries Goal Zone, it could be a good idea to trigger Electrode on the way, so that if one encounters a lot of resistance when trying to score, players can retreat through the area where the orb-like pocket monster is about to self-destruct to deter enemies from pursuing.
