Pokmon Legends Arceus: Can You Get All Starter Pokmon
Before you trek out on your incredible journey, you have to do what all Pokémon games have you do: choose your starter. Some players find this an impossible choice. You may wonder then if you can get all starter Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Lucky for you, were here to answer that question.
Getting It From Professor Laventon
You can get the other two starters by completing the game. Simply go and talk to Professor Laventon after you complete the game and he will ask you to take the other Pokemon with you. So if you picked Cyndaquil as your Starter, he will give you Oshawott and Rowlet. Similarly, you will get the other starters based on the one you picked at the start of the game. This is a slow method, and not reliable if you plan to make your team with all the starters. But this is also a guaranteed way to get all the Hisuian starters.
That sums up everything you need to know about how to get all Hisuian starter Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus. If you like playing this game then check out our other guides on how to evolve trade Pokemon without trading and how to trade Pokemon in Legends Arceus.

Before Players Can Begin Exploring The Hisui Region They’ll First Need To Choose A Starter Pokemon To Join Them On Their Legends: Arceus Journey
Although the Pokemon series isn’t exactly known for offering its players a lot of choices, there is one difficult decision that needs to be made at the very beginning of most mainline Pokemon games. Before setting out on their adventure, players are asked to choose between one of three potential starter Pokemon to accompany them on their journey, and this is once again the case in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Where Pokemon Legends: Arceus differs from most other Pokemon games, however, is through its decision to take its starter Pokemon from three different regions and eras. Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott represent the seventh, second, and fifth-generation Pokemon games respectively, meaning that there are some pretty big differences between the trio. Of course, that’s not to say that the choice will be any easier for players.
How To Get Starters From Other Generations In The Game
Pokemon Legends: Arceus doesnt have a massive Pokedex like other Pokemon games. It only has a total of 242 Pokemon for you to collect. The list doesnt contain many starters including the fan-favorite Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle from Gen 1. Players wont get a Charizard in Legends Arceus.
Still, the game consists of a number of starters from other generations. You can find the following starter Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus in some way or other:
|Obsidian Fieldlands: Deertrack Path at night|
|Piplup||Cobalt Coastlands: Islepy Shore at the pond during midday.|
Note:Weve included Pikachu and Eevee in this list as they were the starters in Pokemon: Lets Go, Pikachu and Eevee!

How To Get All 3 Pokemon Legends: Arceus Starters Quickly
Players are used to settling for just one starter per playthrough, but is there any way to get all three starters in Pokemon Legends: Arceus? The good news is that there is a way to get Rowlet, Oshawott, and Cyndaquil in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, but the bad news is that its not particularly easy.
Making starters hard to come by is a hallmark of Pokemon. Why Players Should Choose Rowlet As Their Starter Pokemon In Legends: Arceus
|Base Stat Total||320|
|Second Evolution||Level 36|
Of the three potential starter Pokemon in Legends: Arceus, Cyndaquil is the first to evolve. It does so at level 14, which is three whole levels sooner than both Oshawott and Rowlet. Granted, Rowlet may achieve its final form a little sooner, but Quilava should come in handy during the early stages of the game nonetheless. Cyndaquil’s final stage evolution Hisuian Typhlosion boasts a higher base stat total than either of its counterparts as well, though this does come at the cost of being a little weaker while in its earlier forms.

Rowlets unique dual-type set-up and strong base stats mean that they are capable of dealing with a variety of early threats and will almost always have a role in your party even into the late game. They also reach their final form faster than every other starter, which is incredibly useful when you consider that their final form is surprisingly powerful compared to the other starters.

Pokemon Legends Arceus Starters And Their Evolutions
Rowlet is a Grass- and Flying-type Pokemon coming from the tropical Alola region. It is a cute round owl and Grass Quill Pokemon. It stores up energy during the day and becomes active at night. Rowlet evolves into Dartrix at level 17, and then into Decidueye at level 36.
In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Decidueye has a Hisuian variant that is Grass- and Fighting-type, as compared to the original Grass- and Ghost-type. This makes it a cool choice to play your game with.
Cyndaquil is the next starter, and it is a Fire-type mouse Pokemon hailing from the Johto region. It evolves into Quilava at level 17, and then into Typhlosion at level 36. Typhlosion also has a regional variant in Pokemon Legends: Arceus that is Fire- and Ghost-type while it is a pure Fire-type in other games.
Oshawott is the third starter in the game which is a Water-type Sea Otter Pokemon coming from the Unova region. It evolves into Dewott at level 17, and then into Samurott at level 36. Samurott also has a regional variant in the game which is a Water- and Dark-type while it is a pure Water-type in other games.
Pokmon Legends Arceus: Why Oshawott Is The Best Starter Pokmon
Introduced in Pokémon Black and White, Oshawott is a water-type Pokémon who acquires dark-type abilities once it has evolved into its final form, Hisuian Samurott.
Like some other water-type Pokémon, Oshawott is a generally solid pick who performs especially well in the early game due to an early influx of rock-type Pokémon enemies. While its true that Oshawotts evolutions are slightly weaker than its competition from a stats standpoint, its powerful water/dark skillset and various buff and debuff abilities often make it more powerful than it looks on paper. For whats it worth, Oshawotts two evolution forms are also some of the coolest in the game.
Its not incredibly difficult to find water-type Pokémon throughout Arceus, but Oshawott is still your best bet for that particular type when theyre especially valuable in the early game.
