The strongest legendary Pokémon in regular Ultra League are Psychic, Ghost, Steel, and Dragon types, which controls what non-legendary Pokémon are viable. Premier Cup allows for a much more diverse meta and opens up your options, which makes this game type very popular among battlers. Most battlers will likely choose this game type over regular Ultra League to avoid costly and difficult legendary Pokémon.

Pokmon Go Charizard X
Unlike a regular Charizard, which is a Fire and Flying type, Charizard X is a Fire and Dragon type;Pokémon. That’s right, the;Pokémon that most resembles a dragon can now be an actual Dragon type. While that may be exciting to think about, it does come with some repercussions for you when trying to battle one. This change in types means Charizard X won’t have double weaknesses like a regular Charizard, but instead has regular weaknesses to Rock, Ground, and Dragon.

Charizard X will have no major surprises in terms of moves, but that doesn’t mean they don’t pack a major punch. Fire type moves like Fire Spin and Ember are common, as well as Blast Burn, but he might also still have a strong Air Slash or Wing Attack.

When Mega Evolutions were introduced to the Pokémon franchise in 2013 Charizard was one of two special Pokémon who received two different Mega Evolutions, Mewtwo being the other.
Now that Mega Evolutions are making their way to Pokémon Go, Charizard fans will have the option of which of its two forms, Mega Charizard X or Mega Charizard Y, to Mega-Evolve into.
To Mega-Evolve your Pokémon trainers will have to battle Mega Evolved Pokémon in Mega Raids to earn enough Mega Energy to perform the transformation. For example, battling Mega Blastoise will earn Mega Blastoise Energy. However, it’ll be a little simpler for Charizard.
“With Charizard there will be only one Mega Energy and then trainers will be able to choose if they want to apply it to X or Y,” Laura Warner, Senior Game Designer for Pokémon Go, told Newsweek.
So whether trainers battle a Mega Charizard X or Mega Charizard Y in Mega Raids, they’ll be earning energy to Mega-Evolve their Charizard to whichever form they choose.
Warner explained to Newsweek that trainers will have to perform the Mega Evolution outside of battle, so that’s when trainers will choose between the two Charizards. With Mega Evolution being a temporary form change, trainers will be able to battle with both Mega Charizards.
It should be noted that Mega Evolutions won’t be able to participate in the Go Battle League, but trainers can use them against Team Go Rocket.

This is the classic Ultra League game mode, which does not restrict any Pokémon for use in battle. In this mode, legendary Pokémon dominate the meta. However, there is some changes happening with the introduction of XL Pokémon. We can expect that XL Pokémon will disrupt legendary dominance in this game mode once XL Pokémon become more widespread and common in the meta. Powering up and unlocking second moves on legendary Pokémon can be very expensive, but we recommend doing it if you want to be competitive in this game mode. There are budget options, but non-legendary Pokémon struggle to keep up with legendary stats.
Best Charizard Attacks Pokemon Go
Charizard, to some trainers’ surprise, is a fire and flying-type, despite its draconic appearance. It is most effective when placed on the offenseâeither taking down gyms or on a GO Battle Ultra League team. Most people wont be so lucky, so next youll want to type 3* in the search box, which will show you any recent mons that are 80% or above. Appraise these to see which one is best, and then evolve your new buddy!

Using The Move Rankings
Each Pokemon has a pool of Fast Moves and a pool of Charged Moves. Some moves might be better in one battle, and other moves might be better in another. For Trainer Battles, you’ll want know which moves will be the best ones to have in the most matchups. You might also want to know which Pokemon are the best candidates for a second Charged Move. The move details within each Pokemon ranking can help you determine that.
Moves are ranked using calculations primarily based on their damage and energy cost. Stat changes are also factored in. These calculations are run for each matchup, and then totaled across the format. Matchup weighting affects these numbers as well, so moves that would be used against significant meta targets will rank higher.
When looking at potential moves, keep an eye out for Pokemon that have a strong tendency toward a single Fast Move and a single Charged Move. These Pokemon will have their optimal moveset in the most matchups. On the other hand, some Pokemon see more balanced usage in their Charged Moves. This is where having a second Charged Move comes into play.
As an exercise, select any one Pokemon in the Team Builder tool and compare its battle histograms when it has one Charged Move and when it has two. If a second Charged Move improves its matchups, it might be one worth investing in.
