Netflix Adds Remaining Pokemon Indigo League Episodes To Lineup

The Pokemon TV series is one of the longest running anime ever, especially of the ones that are still broadcast in the US as well. Netflix finally added the series to their lineup of shows to stream instantly back in March to the glee of many Pokemon fans. Oddly, they chose to add only the Indigo League episodes and the first season of Black & White at that time. However, when the episodes were uploaded, many realized we only had what was considered the first season of airing, rather than the entire slate of Indigo League episodes.

This meant we were cut off only part the way through Ashs Kanto journey, with the last few episodes of the season actually missing and replaced with the first few of the second. Luckily, Netflix has recently added the remaining 26 episodes of the Indigo League, followed by the first 23 episodes of the Orange Islands. Even though a little under half of these episodes are Orange Islands episodes, they are still classified under the Pokemon: Indigo League heading on Netflix.

These new episodes include some major parts of the Kanto journey, including the battle for the final two badges in Cinnabar Island and Viridian City, as well as the entirety of the Pokemon League. We also get the follow-up episodes in Pallet Town before venturing to the Orange Islands. The standout episode Charizard Chills rounds out this latest batch of episodes.

Traveling Through Viridian Forest

The Viridian Forest is a maze of pockets. DMs should think of it as a dungeon just in a forest instead of in a cave. Each zone is described below with NPCs, hidden items, and encounterable trainers. Depending on your group the DM can either set up specific encounters or have the trainer roll for wild encounters. The wild encounter table is on the next page. A map of Viridian Forest is on the following page as well.

The DM can make this as challenging as they see fit. One important point to stress is that if the trainer go exploring off the path, they will get lost and will be stuck in the forest for eternity. If the trainer faints/dies in the Viridian Forest, Forest Ranger Dan will find them and immediately med-evac them to Viridian City for treatment.

  • Movies 2113 minutes
  • Note: The runtimes are approximately calculated.

The Third Pokmon Tv Series Isthe Johto Journeys

There are 41 episodes in the Johto Journeys!Honestly I think this is when Pokémon TV shows begin their quality decline. The Johto Journeys episodes were even more cursory than the Indigo Leagues or the Adventures on the Orange Islands. There werent really any funny story episodes like the St Anne episode in the Indigo League or the creepy Indigo League episode where Ash battles the little doll Sabrina.

It ran during Pokémon: Sun & Moon and Pokémon: The New Series.

    James Magikap To Gyarados

Every Pokemon Indigo League Episode In 12 minutes

Team Rocket always seems to have bad luck, even when things go their way. Most Pokemon fans know that Magikarp is more of a project than anything else. James was pretty disappointed to find that his newly acquired Magikarp wasnt very useful in battle, but his attitude quickly changed when it evolved into Gyarados shortly after.

Though technically his, Gyarados didnt abide by James orders and wouldnt stay alongside its trainer for very long. James acquired it, had it evolve and subsequently lost Gyarados all in the same episode.
