Sylveon is a Fairy-type Eevee evolution introduced as part of Generation 6, which takes inspiration from the Karlos region, northern France. It was one of the 72 new Pokémon, being the eighth Eevee evolution, in addition to Leafeon, Glaceon, Umbreon, Espeon, Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon.

Evolving Eevee is always a process, whichever game you take. But while the evolution mechanic of the core games is quite straightforward, the evolution mechanics in the Pokémon GO game is somewhat more complex.
Whether youre aiming for the Generation I eeveelutions, which are completely random, or the later generations, which arent random but require some work, evolving Eevee is a process. Here, were going to focus on how to get Sylveon.
Now, there are three ways you can obtain a Sylveon in the game two are evolutions and one is by trading it with someone who already has one. Were going to explain each of these methods to you.
Luminous Legends Part 2
Part 2 will feature Houdour, Carvanha, Spritzee, Swirlix, Ralts, Eevee and more as wild catches. The 7KM eggs you pick up during this event will include one of the following: Eevee, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Togepi, Azurill, Spritzee, or Swirlix.
Raid battles during Part 2 will be heavy on the Eevee. Youll find Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, and Umbreon appearing in 3-star raid battles.
Sylveon-inspired avatar items will appear during Part 2 in the in-game shop. You will be able to evolve an Eevee into Sylveon by keeping an Eevee as a Buddy Pokemon and earning a requisite amount of hearts. Once you get enough hearts, the evolve button silhouette will turn to Sylveon, and evolution should work!

How To Evolve Eevee And Get Sylveon In Pokmon Go
Sylveon is finally making its debut in Pokémon Go, which is good news for many of the games fans that have been waiting for their chance to get all of Eevees different forms. However, like most of Eevees evolutions, there will be a specific way to get Sylveon.

Pokemon Go Players To Evolve Eevee Into Sylveon For The First Time On May 25 2021
Niantic has finally published a date at which we will see the Intertwining Pokemon, Sylveon.
Sylveon will join us in Pokemon GO on May 25th, 2021, as a part of the second part of the Luminous Legends Y event.
During the debut, Niantic said that Eevee will appear more frequently in the wild, it will also hatch from 7km Eggs, and it will be featured as a Field Research Task reward. It appears that we would need to earn a certain amount of Buddy hearts, as one of the requirements to evolve Eevee into Sylveon is to set Eevee as your Buddy.
Activities such as taking a picture and feeding it berries will contribute to the number of earned hearts. During the whole second part of Luminous Legends Y, we will have the option to evolve Eevee into Sylveon.

Can You Evolve Eevee To Sylveon In Pokmon Go
Sylveon, the fairy-type Eevee evolution, has finally been added to Pokémon Go, and just like its predecessors, it has special evolution requirements. If you rename your Eevee to Kira, it will evolve into a Sylveon with no other specifications needing to be done. It costs 25 Eevee Candy to evolve it.
Alternate Eevee Evolution Methods For Leafeon Glaceon Umbreon And Espeon
Gen 4’s Leafeon and Glaceon have a second Eevee evolution method, by using the Mossy Lure or Glacial Lure respectively. When you’re in range of that PokéStop with the Lure enabled, go to your Eevee and choose the Evolution.
Meanwhile, Gen 2’s Umbreon and Espeon also have a second Eevee evolution method. Walk your Eevee as a Buddy for 10km, then evolve it either during the night or day and it’ll turn into the desired evolution.
Note you specifically need to walk 10k and earn two Candies in the process, then keep Eevee as your Buddy when evolving, and be either day or night during the game itself for it to work .
Since the naming trick only works once per evolution type, this appears to be a useful way to get a second Espeon or Umbreon with some reliability.

How To Evolve Eevee Using Nicknames
A neat trick allows you to force a specific evolution when using the candy evolution method, and all you need to do is rename your Eevee to a particular nickname.
Simply rename your Eevee with the nickname below that corresponds with your desired evolution and voila, youll have your eeveelution of choice once you feed it 25 candy:

How To Evolve Eevee Into Leafeon And Glaceon
Grass-type Leafeon and Ice-type Glaceon are the latest Eeveelutions to be added to Pokémon Go and unlike Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon there is a secondary way of securing their forms.
In order to evolve Eevee into Leafeon and Glaceon youll have to get specific items: either the Glacial Lure Module for Glaceon or the Mossy Lure Module for Leafeon, both of which can be purchased in the in-game shop for 200 coins each.
Once you have the correct Lure Module, simply apply it to a PokéStop. While youre still close to that PokéStop and the Lure is active, evolve your Eevee using the usual 25 candies and you should get the form youre looking for. If everything is working properly, the evolution button should show the outline of the Eevee evolution you’re going to get before you press it, rather than the usual question mark.

Without the naming trick, the ways to get the Eevee evolution you want are a bit more complex. Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon all evolve randomly when you evolve an Eevee. You need to walk with Umbreon and Espeon as your buddy Pokémon for 10 kilometers, and then evolved them during the night and day, respectively. You can only obtain Leafeon and Glaceon when theyre evolved near a Mossy or Glacial Lure, respectively. Sylveon normally requires earning 70 hearts as your buddy Pokémon, but this number has been reduced to 7 for the event.

Sylveon Name Trick Method In Pokemon Go
There is an easier way to get your hands on your very own Sylveon without needing to complete the above, though.
While this is limited to only being available for one Sylveon, youll simply need to name the pre-evolution to Kira, and ensure that youve got 25 Eevee Candy available to use.
- Once youve done this, the Fairy-types silhouette on the Evolve button should appear, indicating youre able to evolve them.
- If it doesnt appear, do not press Evolve as this may result in you ending up with another evolution.

Available from the in-game store for 200 coins apiece, the Mossy and Glacial Lure Modules work just like the ordinary Lure Modules in the game. Simply buy whichever one takes your fancy and use it on a nearby PokéStop.
