Ditto Base Stats Total: 288
HP: 48 Special Defence: 48 Speed: 48
Ditto is on this list of the strongest Pokémon to use in the best team on Pokémon Sword and Shield purely for its ability to counter Dynamaxing. Facing a Dynamax Pokémon in a battle can be a menacing task, especially if your type doesnt match up well against the gigantic monster.
So, many trainers in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield have turned to counter a Dynamax by bringing out Ditto and transforming it into that same Pokémon. Its an effective play that neutralises the power of a Dynamaxed or even a Gigantamaxed Pokemon.
You can find Ditto wiggling around the Lake of Outrage in the Wild Area in any weather conditions. You likely wont see it when approaching the grass, but youll probably run your bike over one before catching it and making it breed with your other Pokémon.
Toxapex Base Stats Total: 495
HP: 50 Special Defence: 142 Speed: 35
Toxapex is, per its stats, one of the greatest shields in Pokémon Sword and Shield. The Pokemons 152 defence and 142 special defence speak for themselves, marking Toxapex as one of the strongest Pokemon if you need a defensive addition to your best team.
On top of its grand defence, Toxapex also learns some rather nasty attacks, including Toxic Spikes, Toxic, and Poison Sting. To increase its longevity, Toxapex can also learn Wide Guard, which activates before most other moves, and Recover, which restores up to half of the users maximum HP.
Toxapex evolves from Mareanie, which can be found on Route 9, by the Motostoke Riverbank, and at Giants Mirror via fishing in the Wild Area location. Or, of course, you could just venture down to Route 9 Circhester Bay or Outer Spikemuth to encounter Toxapex.
Visit The Pokemon Nursery On Route 5
To start make your way through the story until you gain access to Route 5. On Route 5 you will encounter the Pokemon Nursery. The Pokemon Nursery is the primary location for players to breed Pokemon. Head inside the building and speak to the woman standing to the right of the counter. She will tell you she go an egg from the nursery. In the egg was a Toxel. She will give you the Toxel for free.

Toxtricity Was Introduced In Pokemon Sword & Shield With The Following Pokedex Entries:
Amped Form
- Pokemon Sword: When this Pokémon sounds as if it’s strumming a guitar, it’s actually clawing at the protrusions on its chest to generate electricity.
- Pokemon Shield: This short-tempered and aggressive Pokémon chugs stagnant water to absorb any toxins it might contain.
Low Key Form
- Pokemon Sword: Capable of generating 15,000 volts of electricity, this Pokémon looks down on all that would challenge it.
- Pokemon Shield: It has an electrical organ on its chest. While generating electricity, it fills its surroundings with what sounds like the strumming of a bass guitar.
It Was Trade Only Until Sun And Moon

you could not find Gengar anywhere as a wild Pokémon, it is a historically difficult Pokémon to get because the only way you could get it was by getting a Haunter traded into you. Gengar is a solid Pokémon to use in fights as well, though a bit glass cannon like. It all started as a super rare encounter in the haunted mall, the same place you find Mimikyu, in Sun and Moon. Gengar can take a super long time to find but it will be ultimately worthwhile to find instead of trade.

Tips For Using Gengar
There are a ton of different tactics one can use with Gengar, as they have a varied movepool of great special attacks as well as versatile status moves. It’s often best to choose one strategy or the other instead of mixing both in competitive battles when using this Ghost and Poison-type. This is due to the fact that being good at one thing is better than being okay at multiple things when it comes to Pokemon battles.
How To Get Them
Unfortunately, acquiring these items can take quite the grind. The only way to get them is from beating the tournament in Wyndon after you have beaten it once. The first time you beat the tournament each day, you will get a Wishing Piece. After that, you have a chance of getting something from a large pool of items.
After you beat the tournament, the Ball Guy will approach you and prepare to give you an item. If he does a dance with his palms open, he will give you a rare item. Should you be lucky, this will be a Flame Orb or a Toxic Orb.
If you dont feel like going to all the trouble of doing this, there are always trading forums or discords where people might be willing to trade the items. Happy hunting, and best of luck!

Dragapult Base Stats Total: 600
HP: 88
In every Pokémon instalment, theres a new pseudo-legendary Pokémon, with Dragapult the latest to join the ranks of Pokémon like of Dragonite and Salamence. They are also notoriously troublesome to find.
In Pokémon Sword and Shield, you can find its first form, Dreepy, by riding on the water in the Wild Area to the isle on the other side of the Lake of Outrage. Here, youll have an increased chance of finding Dreepy in a random encounter in heavy fog and thunderstorms. You can also find the middle evolution of the Dragapult chain, Drakloak, roaming around in overcast, rain, thunderstorms, and heavy fog.
Not only does Dragapult boast an ungodly speed stat of 142, but it also has an extremely powerful attack line of 120 and a rating of 100 for its base special attack stat. As a dragon-ghost type, Dragpult has access to a very fun move set, with the all-important U-turn being learned at level 36.
Another helpful aspect of some Dragapult individuals is that it can come with the ability Infiltrator. This allows it to ignore the stat boosts provided by moves like Reflect, Safeguard, Light Screen, and Substitute.
Where To Find Black Sludge In Pokmon Sword And Shield
Black Sludge is a unique item, which increases the healing effects of a Poison-type Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield. If you have a specific Poison-type Pokémon you regularly use in the game, its an excellent time to make sure they have this item whenever they rush off into combat.
To find this item, you need to reach the end of the game. You need to make sure you have all eight of the Gym leader badges in your inventory, and youve reached the Battle Tower. You dont need to defeat the Battle Tower to acquire it, but its nearby the large establishment.
When youre in Wyndon city, start at the Pokémon Center and go to the left, and down the straight towards the Battle Tower. Proceed down the street until you reach the bridge. Make sure you dont cross it. Before you cross the bridge, go to the right pathway
You should see a small flight of stairs on the right pathway, and if you go down them, you dont have to go much further. After a few paces, you should see a distinct sparkle overtop that looks like a sewer drain. Approach it, and you should find Black Sludge.
You want to make sure you give it to a Poison-type Pokémon because if you dont, and they only have Poison attacks, they start losing health during combat.

Pokemon Sword And Shield Tr Locations Guide

This Pokemon Sword and Shield TR Locations guide covers the full list of TRs in the game, along with how to acquire them and the difference between them and TMs.
Hatterene Base Stats Total: 510
HP: 57 Special Defence: 103 Speed: 29
Hatterene may be low in HP and absurdly low in speed, but with the right move set, its 90 attack, 95 defence, 136 special attack, and 103 special defence more than make up for these frailties.
Hatterene boasts lofty base defence and special defence stats and only poison, ghost, and steel moves are super effective against the psychic-fairy type Pokémon. The fact that dragon-type moves dont affect Hatterene is also very useful given the popularity of dragon-type Pokémon.
So, Hatterene can eat up an attack or two, especially with the right berry equipped Sitrus Berry restores half of the Pokémons maximum HP when its HP falls to below 25 per cent. Use TM70 Trick Room as it allows slower Pokémon to move first for the next five turns. After that, make full use of Hatterenes mighty 136 special attack.
Hatterene can be found roaming around the Lake of Outrage during heavy fog, by the cliff edge that overlooks the lake. But if you need to fill the Pokedex, you can find Hatenna in any weather at Motostoke Outskirts in the Wild Area, or Hattrem in Glimwood Tangle.

Dracovish Base Stats Total: 505
HP: 90 Special Defence: 80 Speed: 75
Dracovish has already become famous among Pokémon Sword and Shield players as one of the strongest Pokémon in the game. Its base stats are quite balanced, leaning slightly in favour of physical attacks and defence, but when deployed with the right move set, its possible to take down heavy-set tanks in one shot.
At level 63, Dracovish learns Fishious Rend, which boasts 85 power, 100 accuracy, and does double damage if Dracovish attacks before the target. That crazy physical attack, however, is further supported by its other attacks and its ability Strong Jaw.
Strong Jaw boosts the power of biting moves, and Dracovish just so happens to learn Crunch and can learn Psychic Fangs and Ice Fang .
Dracovish is one of the four fossil combination Pokémon which can be attained by taking fossils likely found by the Digging Duo in the Wild Areas Bridge Field to the researcher on Route 6, to the left of the camp. Dracovish requires the combination of Fossilised Fish and Fossilised Drake. Those two fossils are much more common in Pokémon Shield, but are found in Pokémon Sword rarely.
