After the semi-open worlds of Pokémon Sword/Shield and Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players cant wait for the truly open-world adventures of Pokémon Scarlet/Violet. Here’s when you can start playing the game.

It seems like only yesterday Nintendo published Pokémon Sword and Shield and Pokémon Legends: Arceus. In truth, Sword/Shield was released back in 2019 while the open-world-ish Arceus launched earlier this year. As with other Nintendo-exclusive titles, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be released at different times in accordance with a staggered release schedule. The game will launch at midnight in every region worldwide except the West Coast .

Of course, technically New Zealanders win that release time race since their clock strikes November 18 before anywhere else in the world, which means they will get to play Pokémon Scarlet and Violet before other gamers. Then again, gamers can cheat the system by using or creating a Nintendo account with New Zealand or Australia as their selected country of residence. Anyone who does this will need to buy Pokémon Scarlet or Violet using gift cards that are good in that region and will have to use that account to play the game. As such, its probably not really worth the effort just to save a few scant hours of waiting.

Pokmon Sword And Shield Players Can Now Sign Up For A Zarude Code

If you’re still on the hunt for the Mythical Pokémon Zarude in Pokémon Sword and Shield, a new way to claim the monster has now been detailed by The Pokémon Company.

Originally, players in the UK were told that they’d be able to grab a code for Zarude by heading to their local GAME store or via the retailer’s website, but the online distribution never seemed to materialise. Thanks to this, The Pokémon Company International says that you’ll now be given a code for Zarude as long as you’ve signed up for the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter by December 18th .

The best news is that this offer is also valid for Pokémon Sword and Shield trainers across Europe, so those from the likes of France, Spain, Germany and Italy can also sign up and receive a code. Any codes earned via this method will be sent out in January, so don’t worry if you don’t receive anything straight away.

Ashs Sirfetchd Is Now Available In Pokmon Sword & Shield

Pokémon Sword and Shield are adding Ashs team, with Sirfetchd being the penultimate giveaway. The player needs a specific serial number to receive Ashs Sirfetchd on their team, which has been revealed on the official Serebii Twitter page. To acquire Ashs Sirfetchd, players have until September 22 to boot up their copy of Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield, head to the Mystery Gift menu, enter the Gift/Password section, and type H1SSATSUNEG1 into the prompt. The Sirfetchd will then be available to download, where it will enter an empty space in the players party or box.

Ashs Sirfetchd is a level 80 Fighting-type Pokémon, which has the Steadfast Ability, and knows Meteor Assault, Brutal Swing, Fury Cutter, and Detect. The Sirfetchd is also carrying the Leek item, which boosts its critical hit ratio. The fact that Galarian Farfetchd is a Pokémon Sword exclusive Pokémon, as well as the annoying method for evolving it into Sirfetchd, meant that many players had to trade to receive this mighty bird Pokémon when the game launched, but they can now have Ashs own personal Sirfetchd to call their own. Players who havent already can also receive Ashs Gengar in Pokémon Sword and Shield, as its available until September 15. The only member of Ashs team that is left for Pokémon Sword and Shield is his Lucario, which will be available on September 16.
