Sealed Case Of First Edition Pokemon Boxes $35 Million

Logan Paul made news when he paid $3.5 million for a sealed first edition case of Pokemon boxes. There was initially skepticism that it could be fake until BCEE, which certifies sealed boxes, gave their blessing that they thought that the entire outside was original.

At some point, Paul didnt feel good enough about it, so he opened up the packaging, risking hundreds of thousands in diminishing value, to find out that he had been had. In front of BCEE executives, to their horror, the big box was filled with smaller boxes that didnt have Pokemon, but $10 boxes of G.I. Joe.

Paul reportedly got his money back, but the guy who sold it to him is still looking for his money.

Pokemon Go Maker Niantic Acquires 3d Scanning App Scaniverse

The company aims to work real-world scanning into its AR phone and glasses plans

iOS app Scaniverse is being acquired by Niantic: expect 3D world-scanning in future AR games.

Another 3D-scanning tool has been acquired by a company aspiring to make a metaverse. A few weeks ago, Epic Games acquired 3D asset repository Sketchfab. Now Niantic just acquired Scaniverse, a phone app that scans real-world objects using lidar.

The acquisition looks to strengthen Niantics plans to build augmented reality hardware and software that can recognize the real world and blend virtual and real objects together. Niantic is planning its own AR glasses concept, but is also collaborating with companies like Qualcomm and Microsoft.

Last year, Niantic acquired the company 6d.ai to build crowdsourced scans of the real world into persistent AR-ready maps. More recently, Niantic revealed its toolkit for making real world-based social AR experiences. The Scaniverse acquisition looks to make the self-scanning part easier for phone users: the tech can work with or without lidar. According to Niantic, the Scaniverse app will remain as a separate mobile download for phones, with Scaniverse CEO Keith Ito joining Niantics engineering team.

While many companies are promising next-generation AR glasses that can blend the virtual and real, none have emerged as mainstream products yet.

In 2000 and 2001, there were two Champions League tournaments, one in the Spring and another in the Summer.

From 2002 to 2006, however, there was a reduction to just one Champions League tournament per year.

And before the 2005 tournament held in Tokyo, no trainers received any kind of promotional card.

However, the top four ranking players in each age division of the 2005 tournament received this promotional stadium card, making it the first Champions League promo stadium card.

Pokemon Cards That Are Valuable: Top 20 Most Expensive Cards In 2021
smpratte said:Considering the amount you are looking to buy, a distributor is not a viable option. As mentioned already, the profit margins are almost nothing, especially with ebay fees. Most distributors require a resale license. You would have to register as a business, pay federal income tax, state tax, and usually sales tax as well. The best route is buying from someone who offers solid prices for sealed product. Some prices for boxes are only about $10-15 above cost. Considering your intended volume, it isnt worth the time, hassle and work just to save about $10.Yea so it sounds like I should just what I planned on doing anyway lol. Just buying the cheapest booster box on eBay. I was thinking breakthrough since there are a good amount of valuable singles that are good in the TCG right now.

Pokmon Base Set 1st Edition Shadowless Holo Mewtwo #10

One of the best hits from the original set, and the main antagonist from the first Pokémon movie, Mewtwo is a man-made Pokémon that was created from the DNA of Mew.

Psychic cards were also fairly rare at the time, while Mewtwo is considered to be a legendary Pokémon-type. The holofoil looks like rays of power emanating from the genetic anomaly.

This time, the number of gem mint copies that appear on the PSA registry is 81. Its a tiny bit rarer and more expensive than any of the cards discussed above. That makes sense due to the sheer popularity.

Pokmon Neo Genesis 1st Edition Holo Lugia #9

A legendary Pokémon on a legendarily rare Pokémon card

Sold for $144,300 in May 2021

Lugia is one of the most iconic and popular Pokémon in the entire series, having starred on the front of early Game Boy game Pokémon Silver and its Nintendo DS remake SoulSilver. A legendary bird Pokémon from Gen II, Lugia is one of the most powerful and hard-to-find Pokémon that players can catch in the video games – so its only fitting that its Pokémon card is also extremely rare.

The Neo Genesis 1st Edition Holo Lugia #9 Pokémon card is described by auction house PWCC as one of the most difficult Pokémon cards to grade, as the result of a number of errors and misprints that were included in the early runs of the Neo Genesis set for the Pokémon TCG. Later print runs were corrected, but many of the cards from the expansion remain more common in their earlier uncorrected forms.

As of May 2021, PWCC claims that only 41 Gem Mint 10 condition Neo Genesis 1st Edition Holo Lugia #9 cards have ever been graded by PSA, with just three earning the maximum BGS 10 Pristine rating from grading company Beckett Grading Services. The Lugias rarity means that it ranks almost as highly as the legendary first-edition Charizard when it comes to the most valuable Pokémon cards.

Video Of Me Looking Up Pokemon Cards Values:

If you get too many results that include cards NOT like yours, use the checkboxes to pick the ones just like yours. Choosing a few comparable items by using the checkboxes gives you a much more accurate estimate of your Pokemon cards value.

What to do next:

Once youve searched mavin.io and figured out the value of your Pokemon cards, you have several options:

If your Pokemon cards are valuable You could hold onto the cards and collect them, as most collectors do, and hope they appreciate in value over time. It may be a good investment to get them professionally graded by PSA, this will dramatically increase their value.

You could sell your Pokemon cards to a local card shop, knowing full well their value . But remember, dealers purchase collections at wholesale prices. They need to make a profit after all, and selling a large collection takes a considerable amount of time and resources so dont expect to get 100% of what youd get online.

Selling your Pokemon cards online will get you the best price, but it can be time consuming: taking pictures, writing descriptions, responding to customers, packing, shipping, returns its a lot of work. If you have the time and patience, selling them online is a great way to make money. Read our guide to selling on eBay.

Pokmon Base Set 1st Edition Shadowless Holo Hitmonchan #7

Back to the 1999 base set, where were looking at one of the greatest fighting Pokémon ever.

A homage to the quick fists of Jackie Chan, this humanoid monster sports a pair of boxing gloves, and even throws a jab as a basic attack.

The rarest card weve seen so far, there are just 56 gem mint copies at the current time of writing.

This has translated to sky-high prices, even when compared to many of the other holos seen above.

In any case, its definitely deserving of a place on the list.

Gold Star Pop Series 5 Umbreon: $27000

Logan Paul Pokemon Card Charizard : Pokemon: Logan Paul buys $2m worth ...

The Japanese version of the Shining Umbreon Pokemon card is pretty highly desired, with its unique coloring and gorgeous frame-piercing artwork making it fittingly beautiful as one of the first shiny Pokemon to appear on a card.

However, its price is so high because of much more than just its looks and popularity. The Shining Umbreon card only saw a very limited release through the Japanese Pokemon Players Club for hitting the maximum number of experience points through attending organised play events between 2005 and 2006, making it one of the rarest cards out there. In 2020, PWCC Auctions sold a PSA-10 copy of it for $20,000, showing just how in-demand it is. Notably, this card was reprinted for the first time ever in 2021, as part of the 25th Anniversary Celebrations set. Though that version is worth way, way less, its still the third most valuable card in the expansion.

Ex Dragon Frontiers Charizard Gold Star

Sold in November, 2020 for $30,300

Released in November 2006, the EX Dragon Frontiers set marked the fifteenth main expansion of the EX Series.

Of the 101 cards in the set checklist, there are two rare Gold Star cards: Charizard and Mew .

With the odds of pulling a Charizard thought to be roughly 1 in 144 packs, many collectors never had the fortune of pulling this card from a pack, giving it a reputation as one of the toughest Charizard pulls of any set.

Featuring a stunning image penned by the gifted hands of Masakazu Fukuda, the eye-appeal of this card is also tough to match as the powerful creature breathes fire onto the edge of the card.
