How To Get Cool Items From Pokstops

Pokemon Go | How to get the STRONGEST Pokemon [Guide/Tutorial] [For Beginners]

PokéStops are important or iconic places around your area: They may be special benches with dedication plaques, permanent art installations, or historic landmarks. They’ll never be something as mundane as a stop sign, nor will they be in a location that is not accessible to the public like something inside a private building, or beyond a locked gate.

PokéStops are an easy way to collect items, experience, and Poké Eggs .

They’re indicated on your map by tall poles with blue cube atop them: You can tap one even if you’re not in range to find out which landmark they’re associated with, but you won’t be able to trigger in until you’re close to the PokéStop.

When a PokéStop is within range, the blue cube will transform into a spinning disc, which you can tap on to visit. Inside, you’ll see the PokéStop symbol with a disc in the middle that displays the location’s photo you may also get some historical information about the monument, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Swipe the disc to spin it, and you’ll be rewarded with a variety of items. Items can include Poké Eggs, Poké Balls, healing potions, and more. As you increase in levels, you unlock new items to collect.

After you visit a PokéStop, the blue pole will change to purple, and you’ll be unable to trigger it again for at least 5 minutes.

Tips To Capture A Boss Pokemon

You and your team have done the hard work and taken down the Boss Pokemon, and youre ready to sit back to reap the fruits. Not so fast! Once you beat the Boss, you will be rewarded with potions, revives, and coins as well as Premier Balls, which are the only kind of Pokeball you can use to capture the Boss!

The amount of Premier Balls awarded depends on how well you did in the battle, and they disappear after you attempt to capture the Boss. So, be sure to take your time and use lots of berries to improve your chances. Once all the Premier Balls run out, the Boss Pokemon flees.

Okay I Have A Buddy Now What

Go for walks! No, really, now that you have a designated Buddy you should go on strolls. Similar to egg-hatching, you can gain Candy for your buddy the more kilometers you rack up. Interestingly, different Pokemon require you walk different distances. For example, you need to walk 3 kilometers before you get a Candy for Slowpoke. You only get one candy after walking that specific distance, though. You can find out more about your Buddy’s progress by tapping the Trainer profile icon, then tapping the top of the screen, where your Trainer and Buddy are hanging out. At the top of the screen you’ll see the total distance traveled. In the middle, you’ll see your Buddy . At the bottom, there’s a gauge that shows how far you still need to walk for a Candy.

Vaporeon: Gotta Water Gun Em All

Show off your top 24 Strongest Pokémon!

Vaporeon: Max CP- 3,157

Ah, Vaporeon. In the earlier days of Pokémon Go, this beast made itself quite notorious. As hilarious as it may sound to players of the main series, Vaporeons Water Gun spam was about the most powerful threat in the game, dispatching gym Pokémon with ease .

While those sorts of shenanigans have been nerfed now, Vaporeon is still a powerhouse.

Its easy and cheap to obtain, candy-wise, and its still right up there with some of the games most powerful critters if you can max it out.

Pay Attention To Catching Mechanics

A colored ring will appear around the Pokémon youre trying to catch. Different colors denote the likelihood of catching the Pokémon, with green being the easiest and red the most difficult. You can increase your chances by switching to a stronger Pokéball if you have it, which will cause the rings color to change to the easier colors.

As you hold down the Pokéball, the colored ring will go from large to small. You want your Pokéball to land on the Pokémon inside that circle, and the smaller, the better. Catching Pokémon is based on a probability calculation the game is doing behind the scenes, and it takes into account which Pokéball you use, how small the circle is, whether you land your ball inside it, how you throw the ball, and whether you use any items. If you land your ball inside the circle when its large, youll execute a Good throw, but getting it inside the circle when its small will give you an Excellent throw, which is more likely to be successful. Also, the smaller the circle, the more experience points you get for hitting it on target.

Get good at curveball throws. If you rotate your finger over your Pokéball, you can spin it on the screen. When you throw a spinning Pokéball, itll curve toward your target. This can help you finesse a shot to get it inside the circle. More importantly, curveballs add a little bit to your probability of catching the Pokémon. Players can also get extra experience points if the Pokémon is caught using a curveball.

How To Win Raids

In addition to gym battles, raids are now a big part of the Pokémon Go battle experience, and theyre the only way to earn some of the best rewards and rarest Pokémon in the game. Raids appear at gyms randomly throughout the day, marked by a big egg sitting on top of the gym icon on the world map. That egg will have a timer, indicating when the raid will start when it does, itll run for one hour. During that time, you can challenge the raid like you would any gym battle, except your team of six Pokémon will fight just one super-strong raid boss, and youll often need other players to defeat it.

Raid bosses come in a variety of difficulty levels, ranging from one to five. High-level trainers will find they can often handle a raid of anywhere between level one and level three on their own, but much higher and youll need help. Raids are designed to be massive battles with lots of trainers pitching in, and defeating a high-level raid boss can sometimes require 10 or more other players.

Defeating a raid boss is only the first step of the raid. When its done, youll earn some special rewards, like Golden Razz Berries and Rare Candies. Youll also get a chance to catch the raid boss Pokémon thats based on your performance, which team controls the host gym, and how many teammates you had in the battle. Even with items like Golden Razz Berries, catching raid bosses is hit-and-miss, so make sure you use every trick at your disposal, including curveballs and Excellent throws.

You Can Now Raid Remotely

In the past, if you want to be in the Raid battles, you have to be in the right place at the right time, which is, frankly, challenging. Thankfully, with Remote Raid Passes, which was introduced during the COVID-19, you can now see Raids and get involved without having to physically be at that location. Keep an eye on them, these are great opportunities to get some rarer Pokemon you might need.

To join a Remote Raid, head to the Gym with the Raid Egg above it. Once there, hit the Battle button to be auto-sorted with other trainers. Or if you want to group up with friends, you can hit the Join Privately button to ensure youre placed in the same group as your friends using a group code.

You can buy the Remote Raid Passes for 100 PokeCoins, or get them by going to a nearby Gym and spinning the photo disc. Only one raid pass can be used per day or you can purchase a Premium Raid Pass from the shop.

Use Your Golden Razz Berry Or Silver Pinap Berry With Purpose

Pokémon GO – How to Obtain Stronger Pokemon with High CP! (Tips & Tricks #1)

The Golden Razz Berry and Silver Pinap Berry are basically the ultimate berry. They’re really good for helping catch important Pokemon that just don’t want to be caught. If you’ve been after something for ages and nothing is working, the Golden Razz Berry will probably make it happen. The Silver Pinap Berry will give you extra candies too when you catch that Pokemon.

However, you can also feed the Golden Razz Berry to Pokemon you have in a Gym. When your Pokemon is feeling miserable and needs some attention – basically to keep it in top fighting form – then the Golden Razz Berry takes it right back to the top. If you want to hang onto that Gym, this really helps.

What’s In A Nickname Change It

Changing your nickname is easy-peasy. Just tap the Pokeball on the main screen at the bottom > Settings > tap Change Nickname. You’ll get a warning that you can only change your nickname once, so choose wisely, and make it count! And make sure it’s at least PG-rated because other Trainers are going to see it.

How To Use Items In Pokmon Go

Items are a must-have in this game: You need Poké Balls to capture Pokémon, Incense to lure them, and potions and revives to heal them after Gym battles.

Like many games of this era, you can purchase many of these items with real-world currency as transformed into PokéCoins but you don’t have to. You can stock up on most items just by visiting PokéStops.

You never know what you’re going to come across at a PokéStop, but it’s almost always helpful. Each item has a specific use in the game most fall into either the “capture” or “recovery” category, helping you capture new Pokémon or aiding your current Pokémon in healing after Gym battles.

You can also find incense, which lures Pokémon to you Lucky Eggs, which grant you double experience for 30 minutes Lure Patches, which draw Pokémon to a PokéStop Razz Berries, which make it easier to catch the Pokémon Nanab Berries, which calm the Pokémon, making it less jumpy and erratic Pinap Berries, which double the amount of candy you get when you catch the Pokémon Evolution Stones, which are used to evolve certain Pokémon and Poké Eggs, which can hatch into new Pokémon.

Only Fight Raid Battles You Can Win

This might sound like a cowardly approach, but there’s little point in pitching your 86CP Squirtle against a 50000CP Kyogre. If you don’t have enough powerful Pokemon of your own or a team of friends to battle with, then you’ll lose and just have to revive your Pokemon and treat them with Potions.

So, check the power of the Pokemon in the Raid Battle before you start.

When battling Gyms you can wear down your opponents gradually, so you can take on opponents that are more powerful – you’ll still lose, but you might make some progress.

How To Find Out Approximate Cp And Iv Values Within Pokmon Go With The Appraisal Feature

Niantic originally released the Appraisal feature in 2016 in an effort to combat third-party apps. While the feature was useful, the information it gave about a Pokémon’s CP and IV value was rather vague. After three years, however, Niantic has revamped the feature, making it much easier to discover which of your Pokémon are the very best.

To get an Appraisal of your Pokémon, tap the menu in the bottom right corner and select Appraisal when viewing, and then your chosen Team Leader will give you the rundown.

The new Appraisal feature is divided into two stages.

In the first stage, your chosen Team Leader will comment on the size of your Pokémon, telling you how small or how bizarrely big your Pokémon is. This information doesn’t factor into the prowess of battle – so feel free to ignore it.

In the second stage, the Team Leader will tell you when or where you caught the Pokémon , but, more importantly, they’ll show you the Pokémon stats – Attack, Defence and HP.

Each stat has a bar that shows you where it ranks out of 15 on the IV scale. To help communicate this information, the stat bars are divided into three different sections:

    • First section – 1 to 5
    • Second section – 6 to 10
    • Third section – 11 to 15

The higher the IV stat, the better the Pokémon’s Attack, Defence or HP will be.

If a stat has an IV ranking of 15 – the maximum possible stat – then the bar will be coloured red. On the other hand, if a stat bar is completely empty, then the IV ranking for that stat is 0.
