How To Find Pikachu In Pokemon Go

There Are Key Differences Between Lets Go Pikachu And Lets Go Eevee

3 Ways to Catch a Pikachu in Pokemon Go

While the gameplay and story of both versions of Pokémon: Lets Go is the same, there are a few key differences. Most obviously, the version of the game you pick will determine your partner Pokémon: Pikachu or Eevee. Each version of the game will also have some exclusive wild Pokémon, and the version will determine how frequently some types of Pokémon appear. The confirmed exclusive Pokémon in Lets Go: Pikachu include Oddish, Sandshrew, and Growlithe. Lets Go Eevee has wild Bellsprout, Vulpix and Meowth. There are certainly more exclusive Pokémon to be found in both games. In order to catch all of the Pokémon in either game, youll need to trade with someone who has the opposite version to obtain the other set of exclusive Pokémon.

Summary Of The Pikachu Easter Egg

So as you can see, it is very simple to find and catch Pikachu in Pokémon GO. It is not a hack, nor is it against the game’s terms of service. This is a legitimate and bonafide, tried and tested method of capturing Pikachu.

Personally, I think the inclusion of this little cheat is a brilliant move by Niantic and The Pokémon Company. I feel that they’ve really worked hard to retain the core elements of the original Pokémon games: Pokémon Blue, Pokémon Red and of course Pokémon Yellow. By including the option to choose Pikachu as your starter, they have incorporated the classic Pokémon Yellow beginning into the Pokémon GO game.

As you may know, in Pokémon Yellow you do not get to choose between three Pokémon. You are in fact given Pikachu after Gary decides on starting his adventure with Eevee as his Pokémon companion. In Pokémon Yellow, Pikachu hates being inside a PokéBall, so he instead runs around after you wherever you go, which is awesome. I just wish Niantic would allow us to have a Pokémon follow us around in Pokémon GO!

Start With A Pikachu In Pokmon Go

This summer’s hot new app … Pokemon Go … a game designed to get you up off your butt and moving around. I could think of worse ways to exercise.

If you are like me you don’t want to do the same thing everyone else is doing … unless you can do it differently.

So after a little research it turns out that Niantic put an Easter Egg in the Pokémon Go game to start with a Pikachu.

In order to get Pikachu as your starting Pokémon, you need to start the game from the beginning. Sorry if you already have a trainer guys .. you can’t swap your starter Pokemon for a Pikachu.

Use your existing Google account, or create one if you don’t have one already to log into the game for the first time.

I haven’t tried this with the Pokémon Trainer Club option, mostly because there servers have been overloaded since Pokémon Go launched so they aren’t allowing new account creations at this time.

How To Get Pikachu As A Starter Pokemon In Pokemon Go

Pokémon Go has incorporated a special easter egg that allows players to start as Pikachu, in a subtle nod to the days of Pokémon Yellow. When given the option to choose a starter Pokémon, most players often will excitedly snag their favorite of the three original starter characters without looking back. However, with a bit of patience, Pikachu will make a cameo during this select screen and become available as a fourth option.

Once you have installed the game application on your iPhone or Android device, begin the game and make your way through both the setup and tutorial. After meeting Professor Willow, you will be tasked with catching your first Pokémon. There are three starters to choose from: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Selecting one initiates battle with them and allows you to obtain your first starter.

The trio will spawn beside you on your map, practically begging to be captured. However, don’t click on any of them just yet. To obtain Pikachu as a fourth option, start walking in any direction away from the initial three Pokémon. As you get further away from them, the trio will disappear and respawn near your position, as if you didn’t see them the first time.

Continue to walk away, causing the starters to respawn multiple times. Around the fifth respawn attempt, the trio will arrive with a fourth option: Pikachu. At this point you can initiate battle with Pikachu to obtain this character as a starter. Tap on Pikachu to begin tossing Pokeballs.

Legendary Pokmon Take Flight

To be fair, threeof the four Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon:Lets Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: LetsGo, Eevee!Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltrescan be encountered before becomingthe Pokémon League Champion. But you need to decide whether you want to attemptto catch them before or after taking on the EliteFour. Unlike most wild Pokémon encounters in these games, you will have tobattle the Legendary Pokémon before attempting to catch them. Holding off onyour attempts gives your Pokémon team time to level up more, potentially makingthe battles easier. On the other hand, if you do manage to catch them beforearriving at the Indigo Plateau, you can bring them into your battles againstthe Elite Four.

Articuno can befound deep within the cave in the Seafoam Islands, which is located on Route 20along the southern edge of the Kanto region. This Ice- and Flying-type Pokémonhas a double weakness to Rock-type moves, but Fire-, Electric-, and Steel-type moveswill prove useful as well.

Zapdos hangs out atthe Power Plant, which can only be reached by using Sea Skim on Route 10 to reach the out-of-the-way facility. As anElectric- and Flying-type Pokémon, Zapdos is weak against Ice- and Rock-typemoves. Ground-type Pokémon wont take damage from the Legendary PokémonsElectric-type moves, but at the same time, remember that Zapdos isnt affectedby Ground-type moves.

Pokmon Go: How To Find Pikachu And Six Other Questions About How To Catch Them All

The monster-catching craze has made a huge comeback thanks to a new smartphone game

n recent days, your social media feeds have doubtless been filled with colourful creatures that you might not have seen since the late Nineties.

Pokémon, which has remained a staggeringly huge franchise while you all grew up, is making a huge comeback thanks to a new smartphone app called Pokémon GO.

If youre feeling left behind and need a quick catch-up on the massively hyped new game, heres all your burning questions answered.

    1) What is Pokémon GO?

Its your chance to go and be the Pokémon master you always knew you could be.

The Pokémon games have always been released on handheld Nintendo consoles like the Game Boy and DS. Pokémon GO, however, is a smartphone app that shows you a map of your nearby surroundings and markers for where wild Pokémon are.

You can head out in the real world, look through your phone screen with the app open, and with AR technology youll see one of Nintendos classic little monsters on the screen.

Players have to flick Pokéballs at the screen to catch them, and head to public spaces listed as Pokemon Gyms on the map to fight other trainers.

Basically its the Pokémon you know and love, except if Kanto was your local neighbourhood.

    2) How can I get it?

A UK release is expected in the near future.

    3) Which Pokémon are on it?

How To Get Pikachu Libre In Pokemon Go

Pikachu alert! Clad in a wrestling-themed costume, Pikachu Libre will be making its Pokémon GO debut. You can encounter it exclusively by participating in the #GOBattle League once Season 1 begins! pic.twitter.com/MCtpaOwqHL

The Pokemon Go Pikachu Libre is an exclusive reward in the Battle League. This is the ranked PvP mode where you compete against other players around the world for top rewards. As you progress through the ranks, you’ll earn things like stardust, rare candies, and Pokemon encounters that are otherwise tricky to find.

One of these Pokemon encounters is Pikachu Libre. Unfortunately, you do need to attain Legend status by winning enough games, along with hitting the max rank of 25. Expect to play a lot of matches to reach that level, but it’s all worth it for Pikachu Libre, which also has a chance to be shiny.

Pikachu Libre will know the exclusive move Flying Press and you can also earn Libre outfit items for your avatar too, so you can be matching buddies. Make sure to check out all of our guides to the best Pokemon for each league above, to stand a chance of making it to rank 25!

Give me a game and I will write every “how to” I possibly can or die trying. When I’m not knee-deep in a game to write guides on, you’ll find me hurtling round the track in F1, flinging balls on my phone in Pokemon Go, pretending to know what I’m doing in Football Manager, or clicking on heads in Valorant.

How To Catch Pikachu Without The Hack

If like me and a lot of other people, you didnt know this when you started playing dont worry. You can still get a Pikachu in the game, but youll just find them at random locations or from an egg. It will take a little longer, but there are a few things you can do to put the odds in your favor.

Its worth remembering that, while having a Pikachu as your starter Pokémon might be good fun, youre better off grabbing a Squirtle and getting yourself a Blastoise if you want a powerful Pokémon further down the line.

Catching Pokmon Works The Same Way As Pokmon Go

Pin by Debbie Lau on Pokemon Go

Encounters with wild pokémon are heavily influenced by the mobile Pokémon Go. Players will see wild Pokémon on the screen as they explore and touching them will trigger the encounter.

The game uses the same circular targetting system as Pokémon Go and players can either use motion or touch controls to throw a poké ball. A colored circle will show either green, yellow or red to show the chances of catching the Pokémon. Higher level Pokémon will be harder to catch, but players can feed Pokémon wild berries to encourage them to stay in the ball.In past Pokémon games players would need to battle wild pokémon to weaken them before they could be caught. This will still be the case for legendary Pokémon in Lets Go but regular encounters in the wild should be much easier.

How To Catch Rock Star Pikachu And Pop Star Pikachu

In order to get either of these Pokemon, youre going to need to buy a ticket for the Fest, giving you access to a lot more in-game content this weekend than if you choose not to. A ticket is available for purchase in the in-game store.

Once youve bought this, it will give you access to a special research event on July 17.

Once you are working through the event, you will be given a choice between Rock Star Pikachu and Pop Star Pikachu. Tap the one you want, and hey presto it will appear in your PC.

Sadly, it doesnt look like its possible to claim both Pokemon without trading with another player, so make your choice a wise one, as you wont be able to backtrack on it.

Both Pokemon have the ability to learn special moves based on their costumes, like Meteor Smash for Rock Star and Draining Kiss for Pop Star.

The Pikachu are rare and only around for a short time, so you might want to make your choice soon, no matter how hard it might be.

    Pokemon Lets Go Version Exclusives

The most obvious Pokemon you wont be able to catch are the version exclusives. Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu & Eevee have different Pokemon you can catch in the wild.

Exclusive to the Pikachu version include Sandshrew, Sandslash, Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Growlithe, Arcanine, Mankey, Primeape, Grimer, Muk and Scyther.. The Eevee edition allows you to capture Vulpix, Ninetales, Meowth, Persian, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebel, Koffing, Weezing and Pinsir.

You Can Catch Cubone In The Pokmon Tower

In a slightly morbid change from the original games, Gastly and Haunter arent the only wild Pokémon present in the spooky Pokémon Tower. Theres now a 10 percent chance for Cubone to spawn on any floor where wild monsters appear.

Considering the events of the game, where a Cubone says goodbye to its mother in the Pokémon Tower, the monsters presence here is a bit dark, so it makes it a bit easier to catch the solid, ground-type monster with some unique attacks.

Pokemon Go: Pikachu In The Wild Eggs Research Tasks And Raids

How to Find ALL 36 Wild Rare Pokemon in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee

Fortunately for Pokemon GO’s faithful, Pikachu isn’t a particularly difficult find. Its popularity and status as an icon ensured Niantic made it available in many ways, and it still appears quite frequently. The three main ways for players to snag their own Pikachu can be boiled down to encounters in the wild, hatching eggs, and raid battles.

In the wild, Pikachu already appears with some frequency during non-event times. Areas considered “industrial,” like industrial parks, school campuses, and arid areas that are largely concreted over can help spawn rates of Electric-type Pokemon like Pikachu.

Additionally, players may purchase a Magnetic Lure Module and attach it to a nearby Pokestop. While active, this lure will draw Electric-, Rock-, and Steel-type Pokemon, which can also help in making Pikachu appear for a catch encounter.

Incense may also be helpful, as it causes Pokemon to spawn on the player’s location for one hour, but there is no guarantee as to what type of Pokemon will appear.

There’s also eggs to consider. In Pokemon GO, placing an egg in an Incubator and moving a certain distance will hatch a Pokemon from it. Pikachu has hatched from eggs in the past, but as of May 2021, it doesn’t appear to be possible. However, the Pokemon eggs can hatch are changing constantly, and this is subject to change in the immediate future as the month of June approaches.
