Pokemon First Edition Blastoise

How Much Are Flashfire Pokemon Cards Worth?

Sold in November, 2020 for $45,100

One of the coolest-looking of all Pokémon with its twin water cannons that retract from the shell on its back, Blastoise received a massive boost in popularity after serving as the cover mascot of the Pokémon Blue video game.

1st Edition Blastoise cards feature a first edition stamp to the lower left of the holographic image and no shadowing effect behind its right and bottom borders.

Out of the 2,070 first edition Blatoise cards submitted to PSA as of this writing, 100 of them have been given the PSA 10 distinction or roughly 4.8% of them.

Lugia ~ Pokemon Present Campaign

During two months in 2010, Japanese customers that purchased a Pokemon LEGENDS booster pack could send in barcodes to be entered into a lottery. If players chose Course A over Course B in this lottery, they would receive this extremely rare Lugia card. With just how few of these were given out it’s become incredibly difficult to find, especially in mint condition as they were mailed out to the players who won them.

Also a quick congratulations to Ash Ketchum for becoming the Pokemon Grand Champion after 25 years of training and battling.

“Ash Ketchum’s determination and perseverance to achieve his goal of becoming the world’s top Pokémon Trainer over the course of 25 seasons represents the very best of what it means to be a Trainer,” Taito Okiura, vice president of marketing for The Pokémon Company International, said in a statement.

Rayquaza Vmax ~ Evolving Skies

VMAX cards were the newest mechanic in the Pokemon TCG after Sword & Shield was released and Rayquaza got its own with amazing art by Anesaki Dynamic. While all versions of the card are a bit valuable, the version with the special art is the one collectors covet. This is because it is far rarer and harder to pull from packs, especially with issues that scalpers have caused in recent times.

Gotta collect them all!

Pokémon cards have been the death of every parent going through the grocery store checkout for many years now. Almost every young kid or once-young kid can identify with having a few of these elemental cards in a binder or sitting in a tin. Lord knows that I do! Pokémon cards were actually one of the things that helped put Pokémon on the map and kept the franchise in people’s hearts to this day.

Ever since the original base set came out, there have been countless expansions, revivals, and re-imaginings of countless cards. Because of this, there is no end to what you’ll be able to collect. For those of you that are fond of the base set, all of those cards are being reprinted and reworked to fit in today’s current metagame. The set is called XY Evolutions and comes out in early November. You’re welcome.

Before I get too sidetracked, anybody that collects Pokémon cards knows that some of them have an amazing value, well over a few hundred dollars. Some of those valuable ones are special cards that were given out at events, but there are plenty of others that were much easier to get your hands on, especially from the older sets.

Pokemon Neo Destiny 1st Edition Shining Charizard

Sold in January, 2021 for $20,250

The fourth main expansion of the Neo Series, Neo Destiny, is notable for featuring both “light” and “dark” Pokémon whose characteristics and “destiny” are reflective of how a Trainer trains them.

Light Pokémon are caring and bright-spirited, while dark Pokémon are the exact opposite.

Dark Pokémon have appeared in several different series, but the Neo Destiny set is the only one in which you will find the light Pokémon.

Charizard appears as neither light nor dark in Neo Destiny but instead as a special Shining Charizard that gets its name from the unique foil design that glimmers and shines in the light.

The Shining Pokémon in this series also feature a unique rarity symbol in the lower right in the form of three stars.

The Set The Card Came From

What makes one Pikachu more valuable than the next? The set that the Pikachu was printed in. Though there are high-value cards in the latest sets, it’s no surprise that the most expensive cards come from earlier eras in the game’s history.

The First Edition Base Set often sells for the highest prices, with rare cards like shadowless Charizards, Blastoises, and Venusaurs. Other valuable sets include Pop Series 5, Neo Destiny, and Dragon Frontiers.

Each card has a set symbol located on the bottom right, except for the First Edition Base Set, which doesn’t have a symbol.

Rayquaza Gx ~ Celestial Storm

Rayquaza GX is likely one of the most powerful and popular GX cardsof all time. Decks featuring the card absolutely dominated the World Championships in 2018, and it still is finding use today in decks that placed highly in the Pokemon Online Global Championships. With many easy ways to put a ton of energy onto the card to unleash devastating attacks and even an ability to draw a massive amount of cards in a tight pinch, Rayquaza GX will likely see use in standard play until it’s no longer legal.

Pokemon Just Had Their 25th Anniversary

February 27th, 2021 marked the 25th Anniversary of the launch of the Pokémon franchise. With that milestone in mind, Pokemon had major new releases including Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, which launched in late 2021, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which launched in early 2022. All three games are available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch system.

New Pokemon Snap launched on April 30, 2021, also on Nintendo Switch, in which players act as Pokemon photographers in the Lental region, working with Professor Mirror on an ecological survey. These photos receive a score of one to four stars based on how rare the behavior displayed in the photo is. Players are able to share the photos with others around the world and compete through ranking systems.

/27 Tsunekazu Ishihara Signed Gx Promo Card: $247230

These cards were given to employees at The Pokemon Company to celebrate its founder and president Tsunekazu Ishihara’s 60th Birthday.

We don’t know exactly how many of these cards were produced, but one specific copy of it fetches a much higher price than the others. In April 2021, Goldin Auctions sold a copy of it that had been signed by Tsunekazu Ishihara himself for an eye-watering $247,230. The wildest thing? It wasn’t even PSA 10-graded, and managed to sell for that much with just a nine rating.

/30 Wonder Platinum Trophy

The Wonder Platinum trophy card was handed out to the top competitors at the Japanese National Championship back in 2009 and features a Giratina with a platinum pendant as its artwork. Estimates suggest that there are only 36 copies of the card in existence, but only eight of them have been graded by the PSA and just six have received a perfect rating.

In November 2020, a copy of the card was able to bring in a little over $25,000 at auction, although it hadn’t actually been graded by the PSA. The card was instead assessed by Beckett and received an impressive 9.5 rating. There is actually a perfect ten copy listed on eBay for $200,000 at the time of writing, although despite there being 90 people watching the listing, none seem willing to bite at that price.

Pokemon Trainer Deck B Blastoise

Thundurus Ex Pokemon Card Price

Sold in March, 2021 for $20,000

This Blastoise card is one of the rarest in existence that was originally part of the Trainer Deck B or “Misty’s Deck” given out as a promotional piece to Pokemon League members ahead of the official launch of the Pokemon TCG in North America.

The Trainer Deck B theme deck contained sixty base set cards in all, with the most desirable of them being Blastoise.

Had Charizard been included in the Trainer Deck B set, it would have been the most desirable, but that’s beside the point.

An easy way to recognize a Trainer Deck B Blastoise is that it is the only non-holographic base set Blastoise.

And, if you’re still not 100% sure, you can flip the card over and you’ll see that the card’s reverse is printed with a distinct red border and “Misty’s Deck” verbiage.

/27 Psa 10 Holographic Shadowless First Edition Chansey: $35000

Despite not being one of the iconic starters or legendaries, Chansey is still one of the most valuable cards from Pokemon’s Base Set. Like every other base set card, the Shadowless version gets a much higher price at auction.

There are 48 PSA 10-graded holo, shadowless Chanseys verified by the PSA. Despite that, they don’t tend to fetch as high a price as their slightly more common expansion mates, like Charizard, probably because it is a less popular Pokemon. The last verified auction sale of a PSA 10 Chansey was in 2022, when PWCC Auctions sold one at $36,877.

Tropical Mega Battle Tropical Wind Trainer Card

Sold in October, 2020 for $65,100

Just a bit ago, we saw how expensive the number two trainer card from the 1999 Pokemon Tropical Mega Battle could be even without a numerical PSA grade assigned to it.

And now we get a look at how expensive the trainer card given to all players who participated at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in 1999 can be if it’s graded to be in PSA 10 Gem Mint condition.

This card, featuring Psyduck and Jigglypuff laying sleepily in a hammock in a tropical setting, has become a hobby icon and one of the most sought-after trainer cards.

The “TRAINER” text across the top denotes the card type while the text below reads:

“Flip a coin. If heads, remove 2 damage counters from each active Pokemon . If tails, each active Pokemon is now asleep.”

Ex Dragon Frontiers Charizard Gold Star

How Much Are Roaring Skies Pokemon Cards Worth?

Sold in November, 2020 for $30,300

Released in November 2006, the EX Dragon Frontiers set marked the fifteenth main expansion of the EX Series.

Of the 101 cards in the set checklist, there are two rare Gold Star cards: Charizard and Mew .

With the odds of pulling a Charizard thought to be roughly 1 in 144 packs, many collectors never had the fortune of pulling this card from a pack, giving it a reputation as one of the toughest Charizard pulls of any set.

Featuring a stunning image penned by the gifted hands of Masakazu Fukuda, the eye-appeal of this card is also tough to match as the powerful creature breathes fire onto the edge of the card.

Japanese Promo Master’s Scroll Daisuki Club 8600 Points

Sold in March 2021, for $35,200

This holographic Master’s Scroll card is one of several item cards that were part of the L-P Promotional cards released between September 2009 and August 2010.

Once a player accumulated 8,600 action points, he or she would earn the Master Rank distinction and a prize in the form of this Master’s Scroll card.

Given the difficulty of acquiring such a massive amount of action points, not many members ever received one of these cards, making it one of the rarest promotional Pokemon cards in the hobby.

Are Pokemon Cards From 1995 Worth Anything

Pokémon cards from the first-edition sets released in 1995 are highly sought after by collectors and may be rather valuable. The original Base set of Pokémon cards was launched in Japan in October 1996, however the English version debuted a year earlier, in 1995, in America and Europe. These original sets had 102 cards in total, and featured all of the Gen 1 Pokémon from Bulbasaur to Mewtwo.

Some of these cards have become quite expensive, such as the Pikachu Illustrator card and the Pre-Release Raichu card. Only six known copies of the Pikachu Illustrator card remain in the world today, making it one of the rarest and most costly cards ever manufactured. Furthermore, many rare holographic or shadowless versions of famous Pokémon cards will command exorbitant prices.

The value of all Pokémon cards from 1995 certainly varies based on condition and rarity, and there are some fakes out there, but if you hold any genuine 1995 first edition sets or rarer variations, you might be sitting on a substantial fortune.

Whether The Pokemon Card Is Useful For Players

Some Pokemon cards have attack/defence stats or special abilities that are especially valuable to people who play the Pokemon trading card game, as they can use them in battle against other players.

This is why certain trainer cards and ultra rare cards sometimes spike in value unexpectedly.

Most often, Pokemon battlers play with the newest cards, so your card will need to be from a recent set if its in demand from Pokemon players.

Find The Year Your Pokemon Card Was Made

How Much Is Charizard Ex Worth Big Card / Rarest Pokemon Cards These 11 ...

Look at the bottom of the card and find the year it was printed. Thats the second key indicator when identifying your card.

For example, the Base Set Pokémon Cards have 4 different print runs while looking almost identical each time. Of those sets, the UK 4th Print Base Set identifies as 1999-2000, which is the key indicator to separate those cards from the rest.

Some of the most common sets ever produced include Neo-Genesis, Aquapolis, and Sky Ridge. The most valuable cards are mainly from the 1999 1st edition base set, outside of the extremely rare promo and trophy cards.

Is This Card Available On Amazon And Ebay

Unfortunately not. Due to being very less in quantity and being very rare people cant get them from any of the sites and secondly all of the 37 of them are with their holders.

Hence none of them are available on sale except for the Auction that is held twice a year and according to the reports in every auction held there were a total of 3 cards to be sold and after 2008 no Rayquaza card ever came into Auction. It is the rarity of the card that doesnt let the owners sell them at any cost.
