How To Complete A Very Slow Discovery Collection Challenge
As previously stated, four Pokemon players need to obtain while the event is running to complete the Collection Challenge. These Pokemon are:
During A Very Slow Discovery, players will be able to find the original Slowpoke the easiest. This is due to is being among the increased spawn rates in the wild, allowing players to find and catch one easily. Players can also encounter Slowpoke through specific field research tasks as a reward. These field research tasks are:
Catch eight Water-type Pokemon
Catch eight Psychic-type Pokemon
Evolve a Psychic-type Pokemon
Slowbro may also seem to fit under this category as well, but wild Slowbro caught from the wild won’t count toward this Collection Challenge. Instead, players need to get at least 50 Slowpoke candies and evolve a non-Galarian Slowpoke into Slowbro.
Like with Slowbro, Slowking also can’t be caught via encounters for the Collection Challenge. It also requires 50 Slowpoke candies to evolve, but it also needs a King’s Rock evolutionary item. Players can easily get one, though, by going into the in-game shop and claiming the free event box during this event. It will contain 20 Pokeballs, fifteen Great Balls, and a King’s Rock.

You get the Slowpoke Forever shirt in Pokémon Go by completing the A Very Slow Discovery Collection Challenge.

As for what else is available during the event, there is the debut of Galarian Slowpoke and Galarian Slowbro.

A new event called A Very Slow Discovery will kick off in Pokemon Go on June 8 at 10 a.m. local time. This event will focus on slow and active Pokemon, such as Galarian Slowpoke, Spoink, and Gulpin, among others.
During the A Very Slow Discovery event, players can complete a Slowpoke-themed Collection Challenge to receive in-game rewards.
According to Serebii, this Collection Challenge asks players to collect Slowpoke, Slowbro, Slowking, and Galarian Slowpoke.
As reported by Serebii, players can catch a Slowpoke in the wild, while Galarian Slowpoke will be available to encounter in Tier-1 Raids. Finally, in order to collect Slowbro and Slowking, Serebii said players will need to evolve a Slowpoke into each of these Pokemon.

Even with a name like A Very Slow Discovery, this Pokémon Go event isnt getting off to a slow start with its content, with event-exclusive Timed Research, a new Collection Challenge, and multiple Pokémon making their first appearance.
From June 8 to 13, Galarian Slowpoke, Mega Slowbro, and Galarian Slowbro will be making their Pokémon Go debut.
As always, the Collection Challenge works a bit differently than Field or Special Research tasks. All you need to do is capture certain Pokémon to complete them and get the various rewards. But in this case, youll basically only be dealing with various versions of Slowpoke and its evolutions.
During the event, which runs from June 8 to 13, you can get 3,000 bonus XP, 30 Ultra Balls, and an event-exclusive Slowpoke Forever Shirt avatar item just by completing the Collection Challenge. And heres how you can complete all of the objectives.

Everything Else You Need To Know About The A Very Slow Discovery Event In Pokmon Go
The main attraction of the A Very Slow Discovery event is the release of Galarian Slowpoke and Galarian Slowbro.
Mega Slowbro is also making its debut in Mega Raids, so, if you like Slowpoke, this is the event for you!
As with all in-game events, a number of Pokémon, including Psyduck, Slowpoke, Slakoth, Gulpin and Spoink, will be appearing more frequently in the wild. Meanwhile, the rooster of raid bosses has also been altered for A Very Slow Discovery.

Sometimes the best adventure is a slow one. In the upcoming A Very Slow Discovery event, youll be able to take inspiration from the very same Pokémon that inspired us: Slowpoke. A Very Slow Discovery will feature Slowpoke, Galarian Slowpoke, Mega Slowbro, and Galarian Slowbro! Some of the other Pokémon appearing during this event are quite slow and active as well.

All A Very Slow Discovery Collection Challenge Pokmon
These are all of the Pokémon that appear on the A Very Slow Discoverys Collection Challenge that you will need to catch.
- Catch a Slowpoke
- Evolve a Slowpoke into Slowbro
- Evolve a Slowpoke into Slowking
- Catch a Galarian Slowpoke
All of these Pokémon will be available during A Very Slow Discovery event. With all of them being variations of Slowpoke, its pretty straight forward where you need to go. For the standard Slowpoke, it will be appearing in the wild all over the world during the event. You can capture this one at your leisure. From there, evolving a Slowpoke into a Slowbro is pretty simple, you just need 50 Slowpoke candy. For Slowking, thats a little bit different. You need 50 Slowpoke Candy, but you also need a Kings Rock, which you can acquire from spinning Pokéstops. The evolution item can be difficult to come by, which makes Slowking a bit tougher to acquire.
The final Pokémon in the list, Galarian Slowpoke, will only be available one star raids. You can find these raids at any of the Gyms in your local area. Theres a chance it wont be a Galarian Slowpoke, but this is the only method to encounter it during A Very Slow Discovery event.

What Is The Pokmon Go A Very Slow Discovery Event
The Season of Discovery is here and to celebrate Pokémon Go is hosting A Very Slow Discovery, an event themed around Slowpoke, lazy Pokémon, and speedy Pokémon. The Galarian Regional Variant of Slowpoke will make its Pokémon Go debut, as will Mega Slowbro. Trainers will even be able to evolve their Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro by catching 30 Poison type Pokémon with Galarian Slowpoke as their Buddy Pokémon.
Galarian Slowking will be available at a later date.

How The A Very Slow Discovery Collection Challenge Works In Pokmon Go
Collection Challenges in Pokémon Go were released in January 2021 and run alongside certain in-game events. Each Collection Challenge tasks you with finding a specific number of Pokémon be it in the wild, from raids or through evolution.
Once you’ve completed the Collection Challenge by catching all of the required Pokémon, you’ll be rewarded with a number of items and progress for your Elite Collector medal.
The A Very Slow Discovery Collection Challenge, along with its associated event, will be available from Tuesday, 8th June at 10am to Sunday, 13th June at 8pm .
Collection Challenges can be found on the ‘Today View,’ which is accessed by pressing the field research button in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
After accessing ‘Today View,’ you’ll find the list of Pokémon you need to obtain to complete the Collection Challenge. Once you’ve found one of the Pokémon, it will be ticked off the Collection Challenge rooster, which will help you keep track of which ones you’ve caught and which you haven’t.
Remember – the Collection Challenge must be completed before its associated event ends and it vanishes forever.
