Pokemon Tcg Bulk What Why & Where Does It Go
Hey everyone and welcome back to ChannelFireball! Im back with another collecting article and it is something quite different from the usual. While it may not be for all the people out there collecting their favorite Pokemon, it is super relevant to the community financially. Have you ever wondered why anyone cares about bulk common cards? I certainly did in the past and I am I am sure a lot of people reading this may have boxed up bulk before. Even if you have not, I am sure some of the information in this article might surprise you! Regardless of that, you will absolutely walk away from this knowing all there is to know about what happens with bulk.
For those of you out there that may not know what bulk is, Ive got you covered. Bulk is where each rarity of Pokemon card is assigned a value and then these cards are sold at that bulk rate, which is where it got its name. This looks something like a common for 4 cents a rare for 6 cents a Pokemon-GX for $2 and so on. Generally, if you are going to sell bulk, you will want to make sure you have removed anything valuable from it, because you are otherwise just giving away value. I will talk more about that later in the article from the perspective of the buyer because that is a big part of this entire market.
Once you break it down the process is quite simple, lets get started with the first step
Which Pokmon Cards Are Worth Of Most Money
It is easy to sell Pokémon cards for a lower price as Pokémon fans are everywhere.
But to make extra money, you need the best and the most expensive cards in your inventory that can fetch a never-before price for you in auctions.
And according to the current online scenario, here are the estimated value of the best cards to sell.
|1999 Base Set||$418|
If you have the bulk pack or a complete deck of original cards, the 1999 version of the Base Set will fetch the best price. And EX Delta Species pack comes second in line.
Pay Attention To Fees
Nothing crushes your potential selling profits faster than fees. Its why a number of experienced sellers avoid some of the bigger platforms in favor of niche selling on Facebook once theyve learned the ropes and built a database of fellow collectors over the years. As a beginner seller, or someone who just wants to quickly offload a collection, eBay or Mercari may be your best bet, but it still doesnt hurt to be cautionary about listing upsells.
Bold font. Second category listing. Subtitles. Disproportional promotion campaigns . Theyre all upsells some of the larger companies will offer to pad their bottom line. In some select circumstances, it may be beneficial to use them, but by and large, youre better off passing on all of it and focusing on a great listing with superb photos and a clean, keyword-rich card description.

Top Cut Central Bulk Policy
Please ensure that all cards are separated by rarity .We are currently accepting cards from any English Non-World Championship card sets. The cards must be in NM condition, and English language. We understand that English Pokemon cards aren’t always perfect right out of the pack, but they should be in at least the same condition they were in when the pack was opened. Any cards that we receive that are in a lower condition than NM will not be accepted. Unacceptable cards will be subtracted from the total and disposed. If an order contains a significant enough quantity of unacceptable cards so as to require a more detailed sorting process to remove them, the order will be subject to a 20% surcharge to offset the additional time and labor involved on our end.
When preparing your bulk for shipping, count it into stacks of 100, sorted by rarity. The different rarities are C/UC, Reverse Holo C/UC, Rare 90HP or less, Holo Rare/Reverse Holo Rare 90HP or less, Rare/Holo Rare/ Reverse Holo Rare 100HP and over. Please make sure that none of the cards you’re sending are in sleeves, including the higher rarity cards.
Wrap the stacks in something that will hold it together, but not damage the cards. Options for this include plastic wrap and/or printer paper. It’s helpful to label each stack with its contents, but not absolutely necessary. Please make sure that cards you send are unsleeved, and not in top loaders.

At the end of the day, common sense really does go a long way. If something seems off, or there are more red flags than you could possibly shake a stick at, move on. Its not worth getting burned just to chase a few more dollars.
Organize The Cards By Sets
A good way to organize your cards is by sets. You can identify a set by a small symbol. On old sets, this symbol will appear in the bottom right corner of the Pokémon illustration.
On new sets, this symbol will appear on the bottom right corner of the whole card.
Read this list of Pokémon card symbols to check which sets your cards belong to.
Please note that Base card sets, which were one of the first three sets to be released in the USA, dont have a symbol on the card.

Pokemon started as a video game and kids’ cartoon but eventually became a Pokemon Go app on smart devices.

Pokemon trading cards are used to play with the collectible pieces by playing the Pokemon Trading Card Game, or Pokemon TCG for short. Each card represents a Pokemon from the Pokemon Go video games. It is published by Nintendo and continues to be a pastime among Pokemon fans.

What Are The Rarity Symbols On Pokmon Cards
Before we start discussing which stores sell Pokémon cards, you need to understand how to evaluate the cards. And there are four types of cards that are mostly in demand among collectors around the globe.
- First-Edition Cards: These were first printed in 1999 as the base set with the Edition 1 logo at the bottom-left corner of the Pokémon illustration.
- Holographic Cards: These cards have a shimmery and reflective top and a base layer that create a holographic effect.
- Reflective Cards: These are also called inverse holographic cards as they reproduce a shining effect.
- Full-Art Cards: Especially loved by the art-connoisseurs, these cards have a complete extended illustration throughout the front panel.
Besides these variants and editions, there are three symbols that you can find in every official Pokémon card that also denotes its rarity.
- Circles: This sign is there in all the inexpensive and ordinary cards.
- Diamonds: Although they are not extremely rare, these cards are quite valuable.
- Stars: This particular mark comes in all the most valuable, rarest, and most expensive ones.
Special Note: If you have an entire deck and the card count is higher than the usual number, you have a secret card in that pack. And trust me, those secret cards are the actual collectibles that fetch unbelievable prices.

Getting Your Pokemon Cards Graded
In the course of researching the market value of your card, you may have come across graded cards that seem to be fetching large premiums over cards in seemingly mint condition. This is no fluke.
Over the past 30 years, a number of third-party grading services have popped up to authenticate and grade trading and sports cards. Pokemon cards are certainly no exception. In fact, the multi-six and seven-figure cited examples in the opening paragraph of this article were PSA graded cards that scored GEM MINT 10 on a condition scale of 1 to 10.
Popular Pokemon Card Grading Services Include:
The paid professional grading insight and card authentication service can cost anywhere from $15 to $500 or more for a single card, but the added value can be well worth it when it comes to sale time.
For example, the 1st Edition Base Set Charizard in mint but ungraded condition would likely have fetched somewhere in the neighborhood of $25,000 to $40,000 on eBay, assuming HD photos highlighted every nook and cranny of the card. The verified authenticity and gem mint status sent the sales price soaring past $400,000, making it only 1 of 121 known cards in existence to have achieved that grade.
That said, card grading requires a small to moderate learning curve, and it may be wise to consult an experienced submitter, check out a YouTube tutorial, or even ask questions in a Pokemon Facebook group before submitting a card to a service.
