How Do You Get All The Starters In Pokemon Sword And Shield

How To Get ALL 3 STARTERS – Pokemon Sword and Shield (BEST WAY)

If you wish to obtain all starters for both you and your friend, you will need to repeat the process of collecting and trading a starter to another device a total of four times on one device. Then on the fifth run through, have your friend return two of the starter Pokemon back to you after getting the Y-Comm.

How To Get Charmander In Pokmon Sword And Shield

If you want to get your hands on the fire-starter Charmander youll need to defeat Leon and become champion of the Galar region.

Once youve done that, youll wake up back home in Postwick. Head on over to your rival Hops house across the road. When you enter, go up the stairs and head right into Hops room. There, a Poké Ball will be waiting on the floor with a note from Leon, saying its a gift for you.

If you pick it up, youll get the fiery Charmander all for yourself!

Breed Your Starter And Trade It

This is the most practical method on how-to get all of the starters. You will first need to catch yourself a Ditto. These can be found in the Lake of Outrage zone in the Wild Area. You can only get to this area after getting an upgrade to your bike on Route 9 that will allow you to travel across bodies of water.

Head to the Lake of Outrage which is on the left side of the Wild Area. Ditto will spawn as an Overworld Pokemon or as a random exclamation point spawn. When you battle a Ditto, it will take the form of your current Pokemon, so make sure not to use something that will destroy you too easily. Weaken it down as normal and catch it with a Pokeball. You can also just wing a Quick Ball at it which is my favorite option! Ditto is a fairly rare Pokemon, so you might need to run around quite a bit to get one to spawn.

You will now need to visit a Nursery! I recommend the one near Route 5 because it has a nice long path you can ride up and down. If you aren’t aware, each movement you make will count towards whether or not your Pokemon have popped out an egg! Head back to the Nursery after wheeling around for a while and you should hopefully have an egg. Once you have an egg, put it into your party and ride around until it hatches. You will now have a brand new starter Pokemon. Get two new ones hatched and then you will want to jump into some Link Trades using the Y-Comm.

How to get all 3 starters in pokemon sword and shield 100% fastest 100% real

You can now claim free Mystery Gifts containing Sobble, Grookey, and Scorbunny.

The Isle of Armor expansion for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield is set to be released later this month. As Shacknews spotted, the Pokemon Company is celebrating the upcoming release by giving away Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble with Hidden Abilities through the Pokemon Home app on mobile devices.

Pokemon Home was released on Switch and mobile devices in February of 2020. It allows users to transfer Pokemon between games , as well as store their Pokemon safely in the cloud.

In order to receive these free Pokemon, youll need to download Pokemon Home on Switch and transfer at least one pocket monster from Sword or Shield into the online service. Youll also need to have connected the same Nintendo Account to both the Switch and mobile versions of Pokemon Home.

To be especially clear, if youve transferred Pokemon from Sword or Shield into Home in the past, that wont count for this promotion. Youll need to complete a new transfer of at least one Pokemon from Sword or Shield into Home to be eligible to receive the three gifts.

Once youve completed these steps, open Pokemon Home on your iOS or Android device and tap the menu button at the bottom of the screen .

I Choose You And You And You

This freebie is awesome for players that are often indecisive regarding which starter Pokémon to pick. Its also a great chance for returning players to restart their game with a brand-new team for the upcoming Isle of Armor DLC. Many Pokémon players have wondered how theyd feel about a different partner-Pokémon and this will allow players to build bonds with each of the three at will.

However, this event is more than a simple giveaway. These three specific copies of the fire-grass-water trio are the first of their kind. Each will arrive on your Nintendo Switch with their Hidden Abilities. Something that was never featured in Pokémon Sword and Shield beforehand.

Grookey will possess Grassy Surge. This Hidden Ability will automatically setup Grassy Terrain as soon as Grookey enters the battle. Scorbunnys Hidden Ability is Libero. Libero will change Scorbunnys typing to match whichever move he uses in battle. For example, if Scorbunny used the move Brick Break, it would receive the bonus of being a Fighting-type during that attack. Lastly, Sobble will have Sniper an ability that increases delivered damage from critical hits.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Leak Reveals Mechanic That Allows Catching Starter Pokemon

A recent leak revealed that Pokemon Legends: Arceus features a new Space-Time Distorsion mechanic that allows players to catch starter Pokemon!

So in essence,to catch a starter in Pokemon Legends Arceus, you will just need to:

  • Find a Space-Time Distorsion Event in the overworld
  • Enter the event area
  • Catch the starte Pokemon you want

This new mechanic seems to be a random overworld event in the game. In a short video, we can appreciate a player exploring an open area when a Space-Time Distorsion bubble appears in the field.

After entering that space, Pokemon will start to spawn quickly. According to the leak, these distortion areas spawn rare Pokemon in Legends Arceus, including starters.

Furthermore, there is no indication on how to trigger this event mechanic in the leak. From what we observed in the video, it is a randomized event.

Players have speculated this mechanic could also be a great way to pursue shiny hunting. Although, this is still up in the air. So far, there is no indication of how frequent these events are or if there is any way to trigger them.

Nonetheless, if you want to catch all the starters in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, you already have an excellent place to start!

When you spawn back in the Galaxy building, speak to the professor and youll be gifted two level 5 versions of whichever Pokémon you didnt pick, aiding you on completing the Pokédex something youll have to do if you want to complete another certain quest.

How To Get Bulbasaur And Squirtle In The Isle Of Armor Dlc

How To Get All Three Starter Pokémons In 1 Account In Pokémon Sword And Shield! (Best Way)

As the heading suggests, youll need to purchase the Isle of Armor DLC first before you can get your hands on Bulbasaur or Squirtle within the game storyline.

You should follow through with the main DLC quest line by visiting the Master Dojo, Mustard, and completing the first of the three trials to obtain the Armor after youve defeated your new rival for the first time.

The first trial is to capture three of the fast Slowpoke. Youll be able to spot them in the Soothing Wetlands, creating big clouds as they run in circles. The easiest way to catch them is to use your Rotom Bike, and watch the pattern that the Slowpoke take and intercept them. Once youve done that, youll have to battle each one and defeat them.

Once thats all done, head back on over to the Dojo. Honey will bring out both Bulbasaur and Squirtle, and offer for you to take one of them to train. Both of these are capable of Gigantimaxing. However, they can only do this in their final forms , and it will take a while to get them there considering that they start at level 5.

Pokemon Sword And Shield Starters Method In 2021

When Sword and Shield first came out, there were questions as to whether this method works, as it was previously thought this could only be done with other people. However, Redditor thekasafist confirmed back in early 2020 that this works on their own system, and it still seems to work in 2021, too.

I have confirmed it works with the same account just as long as you delete the game file off of the Switch. I have all three starters and did it alone with my one Switch, one copy of either Sword or Shield, and the Pokemon Home app.

YouTube channel Pokemon tips and tricks also in December 2020 that confirmed the method, too showing the process on their Nintendo Switch.

Unless Nintendo patch this method from the game, and we dont see why they would, all three Pokemon Sword and Shield starters are just a couple of hours of playtime away!
