How To Evolve Wurmple Into Beautifly And Dustox In Pokemon Go

Wurmples evolution tree possesses the split evolution path. It possesses two branches of evolutions:

• If Wurmple evolves into Silcoon, it will proceed to evolve into its final stage, Beautifly.
• If Wurmple evolves into Cascoon, it will proceed to evolve into its final stage, Dustox.

Beautifly holds the Bug / Flying dual typing, while Dustox holds the Bug / Poison dual typing, each having their own niche and uses in battle. But how exactly do you evolve Wurmple into the branched evolution that you want?

Wurmple evolves into its second stage by feeding it 12 Candy, and into its final stage by feeding it 50 Candy. The bad news is, however, that you cannot influence the path that Wurmple will take to evolve into.

This means that when you feed your Wurmple 12 Candy, it has a 50/50 chance to evolve into either one of its second-stage evolutions. Do not fret, however, as Wurmple are quite common in the wild and if you didnt get the desired evolution in the first attempt, with 50/50 odds, you will surely get it in the second or third attempt!

How To Evolve Wurmple In Pokemon Go

As mentioned, Wurmple evolves into two different Pokemon, Cascoon and Silcoon. Wurmple will need 50 Candy to evolve into one of these Pokemon. Although, unlike many of the other Pokemon in the game, Wurmple will evolve at complete random. Its basically a 50/50 chance of what you will get. There is currently no method in the game to control what evolution it becomes. The best thing to do would be to use a Pinap Berry to double the amount of Candy you collect with each capture. From there, just start evolving Wurmple and hoping for the best.

Pokemon Go will continue to provide new content for its players through these events. With Raid Battles, Rayquaza and Therian Form Tornadus will soon be making an appearance. While other Pokemon are cycled in through the number of times they spawn, Raid Legendary Pokemon can only be captured when they are available. Make sure to take advantage of Weather Week to collect every possible Pokemon.

How To Unlock Request 10 Wurmple’s Evolved In Pokmon Legends: Arceus

Firstly, you will have to have completed Request 1, Wurmple Can Evolve. This is an early game request which can be picked up by speaking to Beauregard. You can find Beauregard standing outside the Galaxy Hall. Once you have the request, you will simply need to catch a Wurmple and deliver it back to him.

After that, you will need to carry out several steps to unlock Request 10. First, you will need to catch two more Wurmple yourself. Wurmple can be found in the Obsidian Fieldlands, specifically the Horseshoe Plains, Floaro Gardens, and The Heartwood, at any time of day.

Raise these Wurmple to level 8, and evolve them. It doesn’t seem to matter whether they turn into Silcoon or Cascoon – ours both became Cascoon.

You may also need to fill in Cascoon’s Pokédex entry – which makes sense with the events of Request 10 itself.

Then, speak to Beauregard outside the Galaxy Hall. During the conversation, his Wurmple will evolve – into a Silcoon, or so Beauregard says.

A bit of time needs to pass before the next stage. It’s not clear what exactly triggers Request 10 to appear, but it seems to require some in-game time to pass.

In our experience, one of us spent a couple of in-game days outside the village and completed an unrelated request, and another was playing naturally before it did the trick.

You’ll know the request is ready when Beauregard says “Haaah… Why would the professor say that?” when you speak to him.

The key to evolving a Wurmple in Pokemon GO is really having the right amount of candy. It really shouldnt be rocket science for anyone whos a veteran Pokemon GO player at this point, but well run through the basics anyway because memory is a fickle Mistress and thinking is hard! If you want to evolve a Wurmple, you just need 25 Candy. To get it from Silcoon and Cascoon into a Dustox or Beautifly then youre going to need 100 of the right Candy.

The reason why people get their knickers in a twist when it comes to the intricacies of Wurmple evolution in Pokemon GO is because of the fact that years after the Pokemons introduction into Pokemon GO, theres no actual way to determine whether or not youre going to get a Silcoon or Cascoon when you evolve it. Why Can I Only Evolve Some Combee

There are even Pokemon that will only evolve if theyre a particular gender. While Combee can be found in both genders, Vespiquen is only ever female, making it similar to the queen bee in a honey bee colony. Since Vespiquen can only ever be a female Pokemon, that means it can only be evolved from female Combee.

There is no way you can choose its evolution with certain nicknames or evolving it at certain times of day, evolving certain genders, evolving in certain weather, or based on certain IVs . You cannot capture either of its evolutions in the wild, so this random factor is the only possible way to do this. Fortunately, once you make it past the Wurmple phase, the guesswork is over. Silcoon will always evolve into Beautifly, and Cascoon will always evolve into Dustox no matter what.
