Remember, it was during the press conference on May 29, 2019 that we learned of the future arrival of Pokémon HOME, an application that would transfer yout Pokémon from Let’s go, Pokémon GO and other games to Sword and Shield.
Available since the end of February 2020, players have been waiting for months for the possibility of bringing their creatures from Pokémon GO to Galar. Today, November 12, 2020, it’s now possible but it’s more complicated than it seems…
Please note, as a reminder, only Pokémon from the Galar Dex will be accepted for storage in Pokémon Home.

Whats up Trainers! The feature to send Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME is now live!
Pokémon HOME is a service that helps us transfer Pokémon from our Pokémon Go account to Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield on the Nintendo Switch. At the moment, this feature is only available to trainers level 37 and higher. If you are of a lower level, dont worry as always, new features are often first released for a small group of people for testing, and then gradually released for all trainers.

Pokemon Go has continued to remain a mainstay in the franchise after it became the gaming zeitgeist of 2016 at its release. But, with that many years of play comes an inevitable Pokemon storage issue.

You can do this initially with the Pokemon Go Transporter Device, coming with 10,000 energy, which is used for transfers. This recharges over time, but players who need to transfer a lot of characters quickly can also purchase energy with PokeCoins the in-game currency in Pokemon Go.
Trainers will also receive candy in Pokemon GO when transferring mon away to Pokemon Home, similar to a standard transfer in the game.

Receiving these in Pokemon Home is very simple. Players should be notified upon opening the app that a transfer has been initiated and a pop-up will prompt them to accept the transfer. The only hiccups that could arise would likely be due to a lack of box space, which can be cleared up, or theres the option of upgrading to the premium service.

Connect Pokmon Go To Pokmon Home
Before starting to transfer Pokémon, youll need to connect your Pokémon Go account to the same Nintendo account that is linked to Pokémon Home. Turn on Pokémon Go and tap the Poké Ball icon on the bottom of the screen. Then go into the Settings option in the top right corner. Scroll until you see Pokémon Home, which will prompt you to sign in with your Nintendo account.
Niantic has changed the system a little bit since Pokémon Homes initial release. Originally, only players at level 40 could transfer Pokémon from Go to Home. But now, all players can use this system regardless of their level.

As of today, Pokemon Go is now compatible with Pokemon Home. This is exciting news for Pokemon fans, because it greatly expands the number of monsters that can be transferred from Niantic’s popular mobile game to Pokemon Sword and Shield. It wouldn’t be Pokemon if there weren’t a lot of hoops to jump through, though, and Pokemon Go throws up quite a few barriers to getting your beloved Shiny Groudon over to the Nintendo Switch.

As of right now, if you want to complete a transfer from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Home, you need to fit the following requirements:
- You have to be Level 40 in Pokemon Go
- The “Go Transporter” item must have a sufficient amount of energy
- You must have already caught the Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield, so you can’t use Pokemon Go to fill your Pokedex
- Mega Evolutions, Shadow Pokemon, and unique costumes can’t be transferred
Those are some pretty onerous restrictions, making it effectively impossible to transfer your entire collection over to Pokemon Sword and Shield in one go. Indeed, as someone currently trapped at Level 32 in Pokemon Go, I’ve yet to be able to access the feature at all. Alas, poor Shiny Dragonite, you appear to be doomed to remain trapped in the purgatory of Alameda, California.

How To Get More Go Trasporter Energy
Theres only two options for getting more energy to perform all these GO to Home transfers. Transporter energy will be used up with each Pokémon sent to Home, but will recharge automatically over time. However, if you dont have long to wait or are just being impatient you can pay 1,000 coins to fill the meter from bottomg to top and get another full transfer. But which of your vast collection do you need to avoid?
Rainy Sunny And Snowy Castform
Castform is a Pokemon that changes appearance and type based on the weather. The logical next step was for players to catch different Castform types based on their own local weather! It’s a pretty cool feature that increases the player’s immersion ten-fold.
Unfortunately, this hard work might be in vain if people want to send their Castforms over to Pokemon HOME. The game will let you, but it automatically changes the pokemon’s type back to its neutral form.

Pokmon Go: How To Transfer Your Pokmon From Pokmon Go To Pokmon Home
Pokémon HOME, the cloud based Pokémon storage that launched in February, 2020, is finally available for Pokémon Go. Pokémon HOME works a little different for Pokémon Go than it does for Pokémon Sword and Shield, but with a Gigantamax Melmetal and a Mystery Box on the line, you’re going to want to transfer at least one Pokémon every now and then.
A Few Restrictions On Transferring
As mentioned before, there are a few restrictions and workarounds to transfer mass amounts of Pokémon from Go to Home. One of the first things to note is that the Go Transporter requires energy to send Pokémon to Home. Different Pokémon will require different amounts of energy. Legendary and shiny Pokémon, for example, will require different amounts of energy to transfer them. The Go Transporter will be fully energized when you first use it but, after every use, the energy level will go down and youll have to wait a set amount of time before the Go Transporter to build up all of its energy again. You also have the option of buying Go Transporter energy with PokéCoins, but its a bit costly to do this. The cost to fully charge the Transporter is 1,000 PokéCoins, which feels a little outrageous.
Additionally, not every Pokémon can be transferred from Go to Home. Pokémon that are special or exclusive to Go, such as Armored Mewtwo, costumed Pokémon that were part of an event, Shadow, Purified, or Lucky Pokémon, cannot be transferred to Pokémon Home. Its important to keep this in mind when selecting Pokémon to transfer, because you may have selected a Pokémon that cannot actually move to Home.

How To Receive Pokmon In Pokmon Home
Now that you have transferred all the Pokémon you wanted from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME you will have to welcome them in their new home .
- Launch Pokémon HOME
- You will see this message: Do you want to receive this Pokémon? Click on Yes.
- Tap on View Transferred Pokémon
- Review your transferred Pokémon and tap Receive Pokémon
- They will now appear in your box.
From here, you can transfer them to Pokémon Sword and Shield, as well as see their stats, level, characteristics, and other information that DOES NOT appear in Pokémon GO due to application limitations.

Once your accounts are linked, you can transfer Pokémon using the Go Transporter. To do this, go to your settings, select Pokémon Home, and hit Send Pokémon.
From here, you can select any of the Pokémon you want to move. Keep in mind that you cannot transfer hat- or costume-wearing Pokémon, as well as Shadow or Mega Evolved Pokémon.
You can only transfer a limited number of Pokemon, as the Go Transporter only has a certain amount of energy. The energy recharges over time, but you can also opt to spend 1,000 Pokécoins to fill it back up instantly. It takes a little bit less than one week to refill the Go Transporter when its completely empty.
Transferring a Shiny Pokémon or Mythical Pokémon costs about 1/4 of the bar, and transferring a Shiny Legendary Pokémon depletes the entire bar. Transferring a regular Legendary Pokémon costs less than 1/6 of the bar.
You can only transfer Legendary Pokémon to Sword and Shield if youve already obtained them in that game, so dont get your hopes up if youre just trying to quickly complete your Pokédex.
If the Pokémon has a higher combat power, it will also cost a bit more.

How To Transfer Pokmon From Home To ‘go’ And Vice
For starters, you’ll have to link the mobile app version of Pokémon HOME to your Nintendo account. Then you must link your Pokémon GO app to the same account. This can be done in the Pokémon GO app itself. Once you confirm both accounts, you can officially start transferring your GO collection to your HOME app.
When you’re ready, you’ll have to use the GO Transporter in your GO app. According to the Nintendo support page, the transporter uses up a certain amount of energy to transfer your Pokémon depending on how powerful they are or how many you’re transferring. Your transporter energy will gradually refill on its own, but you can also use PokéCoins to recharge it immediately. In the Settings menu, choose Pokémon HOME. Once you sign in with your Nintendo Account, you can start transferring.
You can send several Pokémon at once, and the game will tell you how much Transporter energy it will cost to do so. After you’ve chosen them, press “Transport” to complete the process. Hit up the HOME app and select “Yes” when it asks you about your new entries. The Pokémon you’ve transferred will then appear in your Pokémon Boxes in Pokémon HOME. Meltan isn’t out there in the wild: you need to open a Mystery Box. Previously, the only way get a Mystery Box in Pokémon GO was to transfer a Pokémon to one of the Lets GO games on a Nintendo Switch.

How To Transfer Pokmon From Switch Games Sword And Shield And Pokmon Let’s Go To Pokmon Home And Back To Sword And Shield
Transferring Pokémon from Switch games are the easiest of all transfer options available, and requires just the use of Pokémon Home software on Switch.
Load up Home on Switch and on the main Pokémon Home menu there are two main options – Pokémon and Pokédex.
Selecting ‘Pokémon’ will display your save files from any local Switch games, as well as your online Pokémon Home box.
Choose a save file to reveal two boxes side-by-side – Pokémon Home on the left, and your Pokémon Sword and Shield or Let’s Go Pokémon on the right. Simply drag and drop your Pokémon, then once done, press the + button to save your settings.

How To Actually Transfer Pokmon From Pokmon Go To Pokmon Home
Once youve linked your Nintendo account, you can head back into Settings at any time to access the Pokémon Home transfer system. In the Pokémon Home tab, click Send Pokémon to begin.
Before we go any further, Im going to remind you that any Pokémon you transport to Pokémon Home cannot come back! This is a one-way ticket, so dont transfer anything that you might regret.
Youll now see a screen with the Pokémon Home transporter on it, and a full energy bar . Click continue to be taken to your familiar Pokémon screen. However, there are a few Pokémon that you cant transfer:
