What’s The Highest Level In Pokemon Go

Get Gold In All The Medals

What Is The HIGHEST and LOWEST Level Pokemon You Can Find?

Pokémon Go offers bronze, silver, and gold medals for achieving certain goals.

The first set of medals are for achievements. You get them for walking, registering Pokémon to your Pokédex, capturing Pokémon, evolving Pokémon, hatching Pokémon, visiting PokéStops, battling in Gyms, training in Gyms, catching tiny Rattata, catching Pikachu, and catching big Magikarp.

Earning them is their own reward, because Pokémon Go currently offers nothing else. Still, not everyone will walk, catch, hatch, evolve, battle and train that much, so there are bragging rights at least.

The second set of medals are for catching but by Pokémon type: Normal, flying, poison, earth, rock, bug, ghost, fire, water, grass, electric, psychic, fairy, fighting, steel, ice, and dragon. As you go through bronze, silver, and gold, you get bonuses to catch those types of Pokémon: x1.1, x1.2, and x1.3 respectively. Since Pokémon Gen 1 has only one steel type, only three dragon type, and only a handful of ice type, getting some of the medals can be a real challenge.

Getting all the medals… yeah, that’s a win.

What Is The Pokmon Go Level Cap And When Does The New Level Cap Come Into Effect

The new Pokémon Go level cap will be level 50, increasing ten levels from the previous level cap of 40 set at the game’s debut in the summer of 2016.

The Pokémon Go level cap increases arrives on November 30th, 2020 for players across the world, alongside the Season of Celebration. Before then, “a portion of level 40 trainers in Australia” will be given early access from November 19th to test the system.

Tasks For A Higher Max Level

The completion of the tasks for the final stretch of levels will take most players months to complete. Tasks for these levels include catching 200 Pokemon within a single day, earn 300 hearts with players’ buddy Pokemon, and reaching rank ten in the GO Battle league. Each level of course has four different tasks as similar levels of difficulty on top of the already existing XP requirement.

With how difficult these tasks are, it does pose a possible problem for if the limit was increased to 60. This problem is how could these tasks be made even more difficult without becoming impossible, or otherwise putting players in a pay to win scenario.

One of the first solutions to this problem could be that the tasks would just be moved to levels 50 to 60. This however begs the question for how this would affect players still in the process of completing these tasks and players have have already reached level 50. Would these players have to repeat tasks they have already completed or have to start tasks they were almost done with from the very start?

Another solution could be to just have levels 50 to 60 rely on XP, and not on any extra tasks. The problem with this solution though would be with how this would make levels 50 to 60 stick out like a sore thumb, especially if this route would be continued with further maximum level increases.

All Level Xp Requirements & Rewards In Pokemon Go

For those under the illusion that reaching level 50 is going to be easy, the table below has information regarding the XP requirements for each level and paints a very bleak picture for newer players. As they’ll quickly notice, the amount of XP needed to jump from level 49 to level 50 is an eye-watering 30,000,000, which is double the amount needed to soar through the first 39 levels. It’s worth noting that this is before the special unlock requirements for the last ten levels come into play as well, which only goes to highlight the monumental size of the task at hand.

Level

Cp Is More Accurate Than Level

What

A Pokémon with a CP that is too low is the first to be booted from a Gym, so this CP value had to be accurate. While CP calculations arent perfect, the CP definitely depicts a Pokémons strength much more accurately than Level does.

For example, a Weedle and a Charizard can both be level 40, but that doesnt mean that they are equivalent in fighting prowess. The system in Pokémon GO conveniently takes all these statistical differences into account, and wraps it all neatly into one number. There are three stats found in GO: Stamina , Attack, and Defense. From data-mining, we know all of the base values for each Pokémon. Charizard has a base Stamina of 156, an Attack of 212, and a Defense of 182. Weedle, meanwhile, sits at 80 Stamina, 68 Attack, and 64 Defense. Even if these two Pokémon are the same level, their strength will be wildly different due to their base stats. If you sort your Pokemon by CP, you see a Pokémons true strength. If you could instead sort by Level, you would still have that much more mental sorting to do. In this regard, the CP system is very helpful, and far superior.

Leveling Up In Pokmon Go

It used to be that leveling up in Pokémon Go was really just a matter of playing the game. Just about everything you do in Pokémon Go earns you experience points. Reaching level 40 takes a lot of XP but as long as you play consistently, you’ll get there eventually.

That’s not changing, but to Go Beyond level 40 is a lot more difficult. Each level from 41-50 requires completing a list of tasks, some of the most difficult in the game yet. The rewards are well worth it though!

Note: Currently, levels 47, 48, 49, and 50 cannot be reached, but as soon as the first test players hit those marks, we will update you with the requirements for those levels as well. For now, we do know the rewards and they’re pretty amazing!

What Happens When You Hit Level 40 In Pokemon Go

With Niantic somewhat increasing the max level a trainer can achieve in Pokemon GO around the end of 2020, players who haven’t yet reached the previous cap are curious what all comes with completing the level 40 milestone.

The leveling system is altered a bit after a trainer reaches level 40. Not only will players need to gain a certain amount of XP, but they’ll also be required to complete specific challenges at each level from 41-50.

Here’s what happens when you reach level 40 in Pokemon GO.

How Should You Use The New Appraisal Feature

The new Appraisal feature is a great way to quickly discover how powerful your new Pokemon are. Finding out that an old favourite has a three star rating is incredibly gratifying.

It’s especially useful for when you’re comparing a bunch of the same Pokémon, as you can keep the stat appraisal screen open as you move between Pokémon. This allows you to quickly compare stats and star rankings as you try to decide which Pokémon to keep and which ones to release.

You can even search for Pokémon by their specific star tier, just like how you can search for them by name. To do this, you’ll need to search:

  • 0* = 0 Stars
  • 3* = 3 Stars
  • 4* = 3 Stars with a red background / 100% Pokémon

The new ranking system makes it a lot easier to decide which Pokémon are worth investing your Stardust and Candy in. Though it’s still important to remember a Pokémon’s rarity and whether it’s one of the best Pokémon in the game.

Though by and large the closer to 100% this is the better, depending on the Pokémon, some individual stats are more important than others – so it isn’t the be all and end all.

For example, if you have a Snorlax – one of the best creatures to put in a gym with its high health – with a low HP stat, that makes it a less attractive proposition. But then again, because it’s rare, you might not have any alternative Snorlax to rely on. Of course, an average Snorlax will still perform better than others in its field, so it could still be worth Powering up.

Pokmon Go Levels 41 To 50 Explained: Known Requirements And Rewards List

The following is an explainer of the requirements to reach every level from 40 up to the level cap of 50, and is sourced from several sources, including Ninatic and datamines .

From level 40, you need not only to gain a certain amount of XP, but also complete several specific challenges.

Cp Has More Variety Than Level

When you encounter a wild Rattata in the main-series games, all that you see of that Pokémons strength is that the Pokémon is a Rattata, and that the Rattata is Level 3. To a newcomer to the game, that leaves a lot unseen , and only having that one number in such a small range displayed leaves very little space to better differentiate between different Pokémon.

In Pokémon GO, the range of possibilities is expanded to one that stretches well into the thousands. This gives you a much larger number of differentiating steps to get excited about than a system that only spans 1-100. It adds more of that real-world aspect to the game, where there arent only 100 different strength levels, there are near-infinite levels of skill.

For example, this Rattata has a CP of 64. It is a relatively weak Pokémon, but there are still 54 different CP values that it could potentially have that would be even weaker. And since the maximum-CP Rattata that can possibly currently be found in the wild has a CP of 498, there is an insanely large range of different higher-valued CPs that it could have.

How To Level Up From 40 To 50

Levels 41-50 are a bit trickier than 1-40 because players must complete tasks in addition to a mountain of XP per level. Below is a breakdown of each level and what trainers will have to do in order to level up.

  • Catch 200 Pokémon in a single day
  • Earn 5 gold medals

Tips: The hardest task here is the 200 Pokémon caught in a single day. Not only do you need over 200 Pokéballs to be able to catch said Pokémon, but the number itself is quite large for one day. Make use of one of the monthly Community Days and go to an area where a lot of Pokémon are spawning, and as long as you have the Pokéballs for it, catching 200 in one day shouldnt be that much of an issue. Make sure you have your incense ready to go before Community Day starts to attract even more Pokémon.

Level 42

  • Evolve Eevee into each of its unique evolutions
  • Use items to evolve Pokémon 15 times
  • Make 3 excellent throws
  • Use 200 berries to help catch Pokémon

Tips: Nothing too crazy here. This one might take you a bit of time since evolving Eevees usually involves walking around with them as your buddy. Heres a handy guide on how to get each Eeveelution.

Level 43

  • Use 200 super effective Charged Attacks
  • Catch 5 Legendary Pokémon
  • Earn 5 Platinum medals

Level 44

  • Win 30 Trainer Battles in the Great League
  • Win 30 Trainer Battles in the Ultra League
  • Win 30 Trainer Battles in the Master League
  • Battle in the Battle League 20 times
  • Defeat a Team Rocket Leader 50 times
  • Earn 10 Platinum Medals

Pokmon Go: How To Get The Most Xp And Level Up The Fastest

Like most any game, leveling up is important in Pokémon Go Levels aren’t just a way of charting your progress either. The higher your level, the more game elements open up to you, including Gyms, Pinap Berries, Max Revives, the level of Pokémon you can hatch and catch, and even the limits to which you can power them up. You can do most things in the game at level five, but to get the fullest experience in Pokémon Go, you’ll want to aim for level 40!

To level up, you need XP. To get XP, all you have to do is play the game. To get max XP and level up as fast as possible, though, you gotta play smart. Here’s how!

Pokmon Go Cp Explained: What Is Cp And How Is Cp Calculated

CP, or Combat Points, is a measure of how strong your Pokémon will be in battle against another Pokémon, and is actually a combination of several hidden stats. Each Pokémon in Pokémon Go has a set of Base Stats for Attack, Defence, and Stamina, along with a hidden Level and a hidden modifier for those Base Stats, known as a Pokémon’s IVs.

It’s not worth going into too much detail on how all of those stats work but they can essentially be explained with a nice little analogy about dogs:

Greyhounds, often used for dog racing, are a naturally fast breed of dog. Bulldogs, not so fast. Just like Greyhounds are naturally speedy, Dragonites, as a Pokémon species, have naturally high Attack – or, in other words, a naturally high Base Stat for Attack – contrast that with Machokes which, despite having decent Attack, are somewhat puny by comparison.

However, every now and then you might get a Greyhound that is so slow, and a Bulldog that is so fast, that out of these two individual dogs the Bulldog is actually faster.

So, in Pokémon Go, you might get such a naturally low-Attack Dragonite, and naturally high-Attack Machoke, that you’ll hit the point where the Machoke actually has a higher overall Attack than the Dragonite. That’s because the Individual Values of the Machoke – basically its genes – are considerably stronger than those of the Dragonite.

The most visible leveling mechanic in Pokémon GO is the Trainer Level. Trainer Level has a little progress bar in the bottom-left corner of the screen which increases with every action you take in the game. However, hidden under the hood in Pokémon GO, each Pokémon has its own separate Level as well. Find out more about this invisible level and learn how to increase it.

Pokemon Go Level 40 To Level 50 Requirements

Pokemon GO – HOW TO GET HIGH CP POKEMON! EASY HIGH LEVEL POKEMON! (POKEMON GO)

Rather than simply having to earn a certain amount of XP to level up as is the case up to and including level 40, there are now some additional challenges attached to leveling up. As well as a huge XP requirement, each level between levels 41 and 50 has its own set of unique tasks attached to it. These can range from catching a certain number of Pokemon within a set period of time to beating difficult raids and trainer battles multiple times. Some of them can be incredibly time-consuming, although it’s definitely worth the extra effort.

As well as increasing the potential of your Pokemon, every new level will grant a selection of fantastic rewards, which include new poses and clothing for your avatar as well as Rare Candy XL, which is needed to level up your Pokemon beyond level 40. There aren’t too many players who have been able to reach the big five-oh so far, but, now that the requirements are known, it shouldn’t take too long for 50 to become the new norm.
