These Challenges will appear when you complete a part of them and finishing them rewards you with stickers and special backgrounds you can use to decorate the app and your profile.

From Bank To Home On Switch Without A 3ds

You can still transfer to Home if you have Bank but no 3DS or 2DS. However, it’s handled a bit differently.

First, you’ll need to link your Nintendo Network ID and Nintendo Account, both of which are free.

If you already created your Nintendo Account, you can opt to link the two from your account overview page. If you haven’t, linking them is an option when you create your Nintendo Account. Now follow the directions below.

  • Select “Begin” after you’ve made sure everything is how you want it

Melmetal And Mystery Boxes

By connecting your Pokémon Go and Pokémon HOME accounts, you will be rewarded with a Gigantamax ready Melmetal and a Mystery Box. Melmetal, the evolved form of Meltan, is a Mythical Steel type originally introduced in Pokémon Go. Meltan can only be evolved within Pokémon Go and so getting a Melmetal in Sword and Shield requires using Pokémon HOME.

On your first Pokémon transfer, however, you will be rewarded with a previously unavailable Gigantamax Melmetal in Pokémon HOME. In Pokémon Go, you’ll get a Mystery Box, the item previously available through linking Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Let’s Go, Eevee! The Mystery Box acts in a similar way as Incense, except it only lures in Meltan. For one hour, the Mystery Box will draw Meltan to you, allowing you to earn tons of Meltan Candy so you can eventually evolve a Melmetal.

How To Transfer Pokmon From Switch Games Sword And Shield And Pokmon Let’s Go To Pokmon Home And Back To Sword And Shield

Transferring Pokémon from Switch games are the easiest of all transfer options available, and requires just the use of Pokémon Home software on Switch.

Load up Home on Switch and on the main Pokémon Home menu there are two main options – Pokémon and Pokédex.

Selecting ‘Pokémon’ will display your save files from any local Switch games, as well as your online Pokémon Home box.

Choose a save file to reveal two boxes side-by-side – Pokémon Home on the left, and your Pokémon Sword and Shield or Let’s Go Pokémon on the right. Simply drag and drop your Pokémon, then once done, press the + button to save your settings.

It’s broadly as simple as that, though there are some additional restrictions in place:

How to send Pokémon from Home to Sword and Shield

Moving Pokémon from Home to Sword and Shield is thankfully nice and simple, too. To return Pokémon to Sword and Shield from Home, or transfer any new Pokémon you’ve got in Home via Pokémon Go, Let’s Go, or Mystery Gifts, take the following steps:

How to Connect Pokémon Go to Your Nintendo Account and ...

When attempting to link a Nintendo Account to Pokemon Home, a separate browser window will open asking trainers to login to their Nintendo Account. Thanks to modern technology passwords can now be stored on mobile devices and are automatically entered into some logins. This functionality is usually super helpful, however, it is the main cause of not being able to link Nintendo Account to Home.

Instead of having your device auto-fill the password space to login to their Nintendo Account, trainers will need to enter their password manually by typing out their password. If a trainer uses the auto-fill function they will be greeted with the message pictured above stating Unable to log in using your Nintendo Account. Please check the Q& A for your Nintendo Account.

This will work the majority of the time, however, there is still another issue trainers can run into when attempting to link their Nintendo Account.

What Pokmon Games Can I Use With Pokmon Home

As you can see above, Pokémon HOME is fully compatible with Pokémon Sword and Shield – you can transfer your Pokémon to and from the app at will.

You can also transfer Pokémon between Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! via Pokémon HOME, and transfer compatible Pokémon to from those games to Sword and Shield, although only monsters that are part of Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Galar Pokédex . Additionally, once they’re in Sword or Shield, they cannot then be transferred back to Let’s Go, Pikachu or Eevee.

Once transferred to Pokémon HOME, your Pokémon will be listed in the National Pokédex . Remember, Pokémon Sword and Shield has it’s own Pokédex and is not compatible with every single Pokémon, although with the additional Pokémon from the Expansion Passes, Sword and Shield will support over 600 Pokémon.

It is not currently possible to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME, although the feature is coming. It should be noted that transferred Pokémon cannot be moved back to Pokémon GO once they have been moved to Pokémon HOME.

For previous generation games, all Pokémon must be transferred via Pokémon Bank on 3DS. While it is possible to transfer Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokémon from the 3DS Virtual Console releases of the original Game Boy games , it is not possible to move Pokémon from original Game Boy cartridges to Pokémon HOME.

Note: You’ll have to actually transfer the Pokémon to Pokémon HOME for it to register in the Pokédex – Pokémon contained in boxes in-game won’t be registered.

The Mobile version of the app displays even more information such as their abilities and the moves they can learn.

How To Get Pokemon Go Mystery Box Fifth Anniversary

How to connect Pokémon HOME with Pokémon GO

To get a Mystery Box in Pokemon Go during the fifth anniversary celebration, youll need to have a Nintendo Switch and a copy of Pokemon Lets Go Eevee or Pikachu. Why? Because the only real way to obtain the Mysterious Boxes is to transfer any creature from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Lets Go . Before you do that, youre gonna have to connect the phone app with your Switch app. We explain the whole process in detail in our Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu & Eevee How to Connect & Transfer from Pokemon Go guide.

Once you have all that settled, and before you make the transfer, be sure to stock up on PokeBalls just in case. Then, complete the transfer and youll get a Pokemon Go Mystery Box on your account. As soon as you open it, a wild Meltan should appear next to your avatar. All thats left to do is capture it. As far as we know, that is the only way to get Meltan in Pokemon Go and eventually evolve it into Melmetal.

What makes things a little bit more complicated is that you can only obtain a Mystery Box every three days, and only during certain events. In the case of the fifth anniversary of Pokemon Go, youll be able to get the boxes from July 6 to July 15. So, ideally, thats three opportunities to get your hands on a Meltan. Make the most of it good luck!
