How To Evolve Eevee Into Flareon In Pokemon Go
Flareon is the 136th Pokemon in the Pokedex, and the third of the original Eevee evolutions. As its name and appearance suggest, Flareon is the fire evolution, so its good to have on hand when battling grass and bug type Pokemon.
To get as many Eevee candies as possible, add an Eevee or an Eevee-lution as your buddy and turn on Adventure Sync. This will let you earn candies simply by carrying your smartphone around, even with the Pokemon Go app closed.
Like Vaporeon and Jolteon, Flareon can also be caught in the wild on super rare occasions, and can also be evolved from an Eevee, with a one-in-three chance, by using 25 Eevee candies. Its evolution can be locked-in by renaming the Eevee Pyro before evolving.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Jolteon Flareon And Vaporeon
As part of Gen 1, Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon have been available in Pokémon GO since the beginning and many longtime players have already snagged each of the original Eevee evolutions. However, those looking to add these three to their Pokédex for the first time can do so with a simple name trick. By renaming your Eevee, you can guarantee it will evolve into one of the following:
- Sparky: Jolteon
- Pyro: Flareon
- Rainer: Vaporeon
Unfortunately, this trick only works once, so use it wisely. Once trainers have caught the Eevee evolution in question, getting another Jolteon, Flareon, or Vaporeon is largely up to fate.
The Fast Way To Get Flareon
With that established, lets revisit our original question of How to evolve Eevee into Flareon in Pokemon Go?
Well, the fastest way to do this is to rename your Eevee to Pyro doing so should update the evolution screen to show Flareons silhouette as the expected evolution result.
Be wary though trainers, this Eeveelution naming trick only works once so either use it on an Eevee with strong stats for a good Flareon or use it to fill out your Pokedex as a one-off way to do it quickly.

Does Eevee Evolve In Pokemon Leafgreen
However, Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen completely lack the sync feature, making them more like Generation I games. This also makes it impossible for Eevee to evolve into Espeon or Umbreon in those games. So just replace Eevee with Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald. You can also evolve it thanks to the gems obtained in Pokémon XD.

The Main Way To Get Flareon
If youre looking for another Flareon after using the naming trick already, unfortunately, things get quite awkward to manage here.
The main way of evolving Eevee into Flareon is simply to hit the natural evolution button unfortunately, this is random and can potentially put out Jolteon or Vaporeon instead of Flareon.
On the upside, this method can be repeated as many times as you have Eevees up all the way until you get what you want, but there is no way to influence it towards becoming Flareon beyond simply using the naming trick listed above once.
The random evolution is also quite cheap at only 25 candies each, so as long as you have a few good Eevees to evolve, youll quite likely get what you want from it.
How To Evolve Multiple Leafeons And Glaceons With A Lure Module
There’s also another method to evolve Eevee into Leafeon and Glaceon – perhaps the most obvious way if you’ve had a look in the game’s shop.
Available from the in-game store for 200 coins apiece, the Mossy and Glacial Lure Modules work just like the ordinary Lure Modules in the game. Simply buy whichever one takes your fancy and use it on a nearby PokéStop.
- Mossy Lure Module – Used to evolve Eevee into Leafeon
- Glacial Lure Module – Used to evolve Eevee into Glaceon
You’ll notice that it attracts specific types of Pokémon to your area, but click on one of the Eevees in your collection while within range of the PokéStop and you’ll see that its evolution button has changed to the respective target evolution. Hit the button and Eevee will evolve into Leafeon or Glaceon right before your eyes .
Make sure you’re within range of the PokéStop and that the evolution button is indicating a new evolution before you press it, rather than displaying the usual Eevee question mark symbol.
It’s also worth noting that these Lure Modules behave just like the ordinary variants within the game. This means that if another player has used a special Eevee Lure Module on a nearby PokéStop, you can swoop in and use it to evolve your own Eevee. .

How To Find Shiny Flareon In Pokemon Go
Flareon will begin to appear in 3-star raid battles from May 25th to May 31st. This is your chance to find its Shiny form. Upon defeating it, it has the chance to appear Shiny during the capturing phase. Although it’s important to mention that finding the Shiny form is not a guarantee and is still incredibly rare. For 3-star raid battles, it’s suggested to play with at least 2 other players to make the battle easier. Flareon is a Fire-type Pokemon with tons of weaknesses. Here are some of the best Pokemon to bring along for this raid battle.
- Rampardos: Smack Down and Rock Slide.
- Kyorge: Waterfall and Hydro Pump.
- Tyranitar: Smack Down and Stone Edge.
- Rhyperior: Smack Down and Stone Edge.
- Feraligatr: Waterfall and Hydro Cannon.
- Omastar: Rock Throw and Rock Slide.

What You Need To Know About The Names Of Eevees Evolution In Pokmon Go
What is the reason for changing the name to Sakura, Tamao, Sparky Rainer and Pyro? The three original names are of the Eevee brothers from the television series, who meet Ash and company in episode 40 where they show their respective evolutions. Sakura and Tamao appear later in the anime.

Once you have called Eevee one of the three names above, you must restart the app to make sure that the process worked, as the servers can sometimes prove to be treacherous.
Once you have verified that the name you entered has not disappeared, then Eevee evolves as you would any other Pokémon and it should take the shape of the type you chose.
You can see the trick in action below.
Note that although many users have successfully performed this method, there are a handful of cases where it has not worked. Some say the method works only the first time you evolve the creature, while others have experienced problems with the server in changing the Pokémons name, so its best to make sure everything is fine before proceeding.
