From now until April 8 at 8 p.m. local time, Pokemon Go players can complete the Spring into Spring 2021 Collection Challenge in order to receive Lopunny Mega Energy, a Lucky Egg, and more.

This Collection Challenge asks players to catch 10 different Pokemon before the event ends. While many of the Pokemon featured in this Collection Challenge can be found in the wild, a few are unique, and can only be encountered in different ways.

One of these pocket monsters is Azumarill. According to The Silph Road subreddit, Azumarill isnt appearing in the wild during the Pokemon Go Spring event. Instead, you can encounter and capture this Pokemon by either finding it in a Tier-3 Raid or by finding and completing the Field Research task that asks you to Catch 15 Exeggcute.

This pokemon, unfortunately, is not someone, who will get a spawn boost during the event, however, its pretty straightforward to catch the big guy. You have to follow the Field Research tasks. First, catch yourself 15 Exeggcute for the Field Research task to get yourself an Azumarill encounter.

There are other forms of Azumarill available in the wild and hatching from eggs, but for the collection challenge, youll specifically need to catch one!

Participating in three-star raids will get you in an encounter with Azumarill since its one of the raid bosses and will stay that way throughout the event. Note that Azumarill is only one of the raid bosses which means that theres also a chance that you may encounter other one instead of it.

If you arent that keen on raiding, youll also have the option to secure an encounter through completing field research tasks. The Catch 15 Exeggcute field research task awards players with an Azumarill encounter, a decent alternative to the raid method. It may look like a better method than the raiding option, but youll also need to make sure that you have the 15 variant of this field research task since the other versions have different rewards.

You can only carry three field research tasks at a time. If you werent able to get the Catch 15 Exeggcute one at first go, you might want to consider discarding the tasks you have for another try. The Spring to Spring challenge will wrap up on April 8, meaning youll also be against a timer.

How To Catch Azumarill In Pokmon Go

Azumarill being a part of the Spring into Spring Collection Challenge will give many players some bad flashbacks to previous missions. Thats because this is the evolved form of Marill, and while they will be appearing in the wild, the one you need wont. So checking your Nearby screen and/or using Incense simply wont do the trick.

Thats because this is a catch task, not an evolve one. So you can get all the Marill you want and evolve them, but it wont check this box. Instead, you need to look for the way to actually catch it that qualifies for a Collection Challenge. And for this event, that means you need to focus on Field Research tasks or raids.

Azumarill will be available to catch by winning 3-Star raids against the Water and Fairy type Pokémon. With a friend or two, the fight should be easy. Just be sure to use your most powerful Electric or Grassattackers, such as Zekrom, Thundurus, or Venusaur and you should do fine. Otherwise you can try to get and complete the required Field Research task.

The Catch 15 Exeggcute Field Research task will reward players with an Azumarill encounter once completed. Getting it is still pretty random, requiring the Stop to award it to you, but once you find it your quest is almost over. Simply catch the 15 Exeggcute and redeem the task to get your Azumarill encounter as a reward. Catch it and youll be one step closer to finishing the full Collection Challenge.
