Jolteon: Jolteon is one of the easier evolutions to get, as it only requires a Thunder Stone. You can get a Thunder Stone in the back of the Fossil Restoration Centre on Route 8. If you havent reached the Fossil Restoration Centre, or if youve already used the Thunder Stone, you can simply purchase one from the shops in KoniKoni City for 3,000.
Flareon: You can get a Flareon by using a Fire Stone on Eevee. You can find a Fire Stone in the Tunnel of Diglett. It is in a rock located at the North-West end of the Tunnel. Glaceon: To evolve your Eevee into a Glaceon, you must first travel to the PokeCenter on Mount Lanakila. Once there, ride the platform on the right of the PokeCenter that takes you down into a valley. Follow the path until you reach the cave. Go down into the cave until you reach a big ice rock. Similar to the Moss rock for Leafeon, train near the Ice Rock and your Eevee will evolve into Glaceon at level 13.
Is It Worth Getting An Umbreon
Depending on the game, Umbreon can be a decent addition. You can use it for setups and tanking hits from the enemies. The downside is that it really doesnt have much in the way of offense. The typing advantage allows it to be effective against Psychic-types, which usually have high Sp. Attack. Psychic attacks wont deal damage to it anyway, so you just need to have a good Dark-type attack since it will do a lot of damage either way.
Perhaps getting an Umbreon is a situational scenario. If you just need a Dark-type, then there may be other substitutes based on the game. You may even stumble on a Dark-type that can deal a lot of damage either Physical or Special. If you need a tanky Pokemon, then Umbreon can be more than enough for your needs.

With so many classic Eevee evolutions to choose from – alongside the newer additions – you want to make sure that you get your favorite, so let’s talk about how to evolve Eevee in Pokemon Go.
For our money, Eevee is one of the coolest Pokemon. It’s one of the cutest of the original Red/Blue/Green generation of Pokemon games, yes, and it’s just been promoted to starter status for Pokemon Let’s Go – but the coolest thing about Eevee is how it evolves. Eevee can evolve into more different Pokemon than any other species discovered so far – and of course that carries over to Pokemon Go.

Which Eeveelution Is Best
As with all Pokémon, there isn’t really a solid way to determine which Eeveelution is best because all Pokémon have weaknesses and strengths, especially when it comes to battling. For example, a Flareon would most likely beat a Leafeon in a battle because Grass-type Pokémon are weak against Fire-type Pokémon. However, Flareon would probably lose in a battle against a Vaporeon.
Determining which Eeveelution is best for you really depends on your preferences and your personal in-game goals. However, if you’ve got your heart set on becoming an Eeveelution master, Bulbapedia has some great information to help a budding Eevee trainer navigate their Eeveelution goals.
How To Evolve Using Nicknames To Guarantee Your Choice Of Eevee Evolution
If you evolve an Eevee ‘raw’ by spending 25 candy, it’ll just evolve into one of the different available evolutions at random. However, you can actually force a specific evolution by renaming your Eevee of choice to a special nickname – and the whole thing began as an easter egg nod to a classic set of Eevee evolutions found in the Pokemon anime TV show.
So, basically, all you have to do is rename your Eevee to a specific name and then evolve it the regular way by spending 25 candy. Here are the names and the Eevee Evolutions:
An important note about this little cheat: it only works once per Eevee Evolution. Once you’ve renamed one Eevee as Tamao to get Umbreon, for instance, you’ll only be able to get another Umbreon through ‘natural’ means – with that exact method depending on the eeveelution in question. This is why you should check your CP values and IV values before evolving an Eevee – make sure it’s a good one, as you only get one shot.

How To Evolve Multiple Leafeons And Glaceons With A Lure Module
Theres also another method to evolve Eevee into Leafeon and Glaceon perhaps the most obvious way if youve had a look in the games shop.
Available from the in-game store for 200 coins apiece, the Mossy and Glacial Lure Modules work just like the ordinary Lure Modules in the game. Simply buy whichever one takes your fancy and use it on a nearby PokéStop.
- Mossy Lure Module Used to evolve Eevee into Leafeon
- Glacial Lure Module Used to evolve Eevee into Glaceon
Youll notice that it attracts specific types of Pokémon to your area, but click on one of the Eevees in your collection while within range of the PokéStop and youll see that its evolution button has changed to the respective target evolution. Hit the button and Eevee will evolve into Leafeon or Glaceon right before your eyes .
Make sure youre within range of the PokéStop and that the evolution button is indicating a new evolution before you press it, rather than displaying the usual Eevee question mark symbol.
Its also worth noting that these Lure Modules behave just like the ordinary variants within the game. This means that if another player has used a special Eevee Lure Module on a nearby PokéStop, you can swoop in and use it to evolve your own Eevee. .

The story behind Pokemon Go’s Eevee Evolution names
If you’re wondering where the above names come from, they’re actually a deep-cut nod to fans of the Pokemon anime – a nice little easter egg for players who have been particularly dedicated in their following of the series.

Each brother has a unique Eevee of his own, and it’s after the brothers that the Eevee take their names.
