Should I Get Espeon Or Umbreon

My Favorite Pokémon: #8: Eevee & evolutions

For combat effectiveness, Id have to say Espeon, though. Espeon can learn more powerful charged attacks, like Psychic, Moonblast , Future Sight, etc. Meaning Espeon can do more damage than Umbreon could. Note: This answer is based on that both Pokemon have perfect IVs and are both at their maximum level.

Is It Worth Getting An Umbreon

HOW TO Evolve Eevee into Umbreon in Pokemon Sun and Moon ...

Depending on the game, Umbreon can be a decent addition. You can use it for setups and tanking hits from the enemies. The downside is that it really doesnt have much in the way of offense. The typing advantage allows it to be effective against Psychic-types, which usually have high Sp. Attack. Psychic attacks wont deal damage to it anyway, so you just need to have a good Dark-type attack since it will do a lot of damage either way.

Perhaps getting an Umbreon is a situational scenario. If you just need a Dark-type, then there may be other substitutes based on the game. You may even stumble on a Dark-type that can deal a lot of damage either Physical or Special. If you need a tanky Pokemon, then Umbreon can be more than enough for your needs.

Evolve Eevee Into Leafeon

Leafeon is a Grass-type pokémon. Its a superbly peaceful and sunny creature. Since it is leafy in appearance and structure, it derives its sustenance from the sun. It purifies the air and leaves the surrounding environment in a pristine state everywhere it goes.

In order to evolve an Eevee into a Leafeon, you need to interact with the moss rock that’s found at Lush Jungle on Akala Island and level it up in the surrounding area. Alternatively, you can just give your Eevee a rare candy after it touches the moss rock.

With so many classic Eevee evolutions to choose from – alongside the newer additions – you want to make sure that you get your favorite, so let’s talk about how to evolve Eevee in Pokemon Go.

Eevee can evolve into more different Pokemon than any other species discovered so far – and of course that carries over to Pokemon Go.

Which Eeveelution Is Best

As with all Pokémon, there isn’t really a solid way to determine which Eeveelution is best because all Pokémon have weaknesses and strengths, especially when it comes to battling. For example, a Flareon would most likely beat a Leafeon in a battle because Grass-type Pokémon are weak against Fire-type Pokémon. However, Flareon would probably lose in a battle against a Vaporeon.

Determining which Eeveelution is best for you really depends on your preferences and your personal in-game goals. However, if you’ve got your heart set on becoming an Eeveelution master, Bulbapedia has some great information to help a budding Eevee trainer navigate their Eeveelution goals.

How To Evolve Using Nicknames To Guarantee Your Choice Of Eevee Evolution

How to Evolve Eeevee into Umbreon and Espeon in PokémonGO

If you evolve an Eevee ‘raw’ by spending 25 candy, it’ll just evolve into one of the different available evolutions at random. However, you can actually force a specific evolution by renaming your Eevee of choice to a special nickname – and the whole thing began as an easter egg nod to a classic set of Eevee evolutions found in the Pokemon anime TV show.

So, basically, all you have to do is rename your Eevee to a specific name and then evolve it the regular way by spending 25 candy. Here are the names and the Eevee Evolutions:

Eevee Evolution
Kira Fairy

An important note about this little cheat: it only works once per Eevee Evolution. Once you’ve renamed one Eevee as Tamao to get Umbreon, for instance, you’ll only be able to get another Umbreon through ‘natural’ means – with that exact method depending on the eeveelution in question. This is why you should check your CP values and IV values before evolving an Eevee – make sure it’s a good one, as you only get one shot.

How To Evolve Multiple Leafeons And Glaceons With A Lure Module

Theres also another method to evolve Eevee into Leafeon and Glaceon perhaps the most obvious way if youve had a look in the games shop.

  • Mossy Lure Module Used to evolve Eevee into Leafeon
  • Glacial Lure Module Used to evolve Eevee into Glaceon

Youll notice that it attracts specific types of Pokémon to your area, but click on one of the Eevees in your collection while within range of the PokéStop and youll see that its evolution button has changed to the respective target evolution. Hit the button and Eevee will evolve into Leafeon or Glaceon right before your eyes .

Make sure youre within range of the PokéStop and that the evolution button is indicating a new evolution before you press it, rather than displaying the usual Eevee question mark symbol.

Its also worth noting that these Lure Modules behave just like the ordinary variants within the game. This means that if another player has used a special Eevee Lure Module on a nearby PokéStop, you can swoop in and use it to evolve your own Eevee. .
