Can You Play Pokemon Go At Home

Check The Evolution Path

Playing Pokemon Go At Home!

The Pokedex shows how Pokemon evolve and it’s worth checking out what a Pokemon can evolve into before you drop Candy on it to power it up or evolve lesser forms. For example, if you have lots of Pidgy, and a few Pidgeotto, you probably don’t want to spend Candy evolving Pidgy into more Pidgeotto: you want to save them until you can evolve Pidgeotto into Pidgeot, because it needs more candy.

Making more mid-tier Pokemon is less useful than getting the rarer evolved form who will often be more useful in battle.

Also double-check the evolution path. Many Pokemon have another evolved form that opens up as the game expands. For example, with the addition of the Sinnoh region, new versions became available. You’ll need a Sinnoh Stone to evolve them, meaning some Pokemon you thought were finished can now do something else, so it’s worth going back to check.

Remote Raid Passes In Pokemon Go

Raids are a big part of what makes Pokemon Go special. To continue to keep players invested, players can participate in Remote Raids. No matter the distance from a raid, the player can jump into a raid if they have a Remote Raid Pass. The catch here is the Remote Raid Pass cost 100 PokeCoins to purchase. This is pretty hefty for something players could originally do for free, but now as players cannot physically reach the raids, this is an alternative option. Also, the raid radius has also doubled. It might not be much, but it’s better than nothing.

Pokemon Go is a game that thrives on players exploring the outside world. While the game may never reach the popularity it had back in 2016, the game has a dedicated fanbase that returns to participate every single day. The game is still wildly successful and is compatible with the future mainline titles of the series. Currently, players can bring over Pokemon from Pokemon Go and put them in Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu. Pokemon Bank support is currently in the works and will allow players to upload their Pokemon into the subscription cloud service for safekeeping. Hopefully, the world and Pokemon Go can return back to normal soon.

Pokemon Go is available now on iOS and Android.

Who’s That Pokemon It’s Pikachu

If you’re already a Level 30 trainer, then you may not care about this tip. But if you’re just starting out and you’re about to select your starter Pokemon , don’t! Like Lord Humongous says: “Just walk away!” Instead, walk away from the starters, and keep ignoring them, and eventually, the plump electric mouse himself will appear for you to recruit. Finally, you, too, can be just like Ash Ketchum.

How To Manage Motivation

So youve captured the gym and put your best team in it. Youre set, right? Theres no way someone is going to take it from you. That used to be the case, but with the latest update things have changed. Now you have to take into account motivation, which is your Pokemons willingness to fight translated in combat power. Every day you hold a gym, the CP of your Pokemon drops. Once it hits zero, your Pokemon get kicked out of the gym unless you feed berries to each one holding it. To make matters worse, Pokemon with CP above 3,000 lose motivation faster. This ensures a more dynamic map, but also makes it harder to hold gyms. Thats why youll want to keep yourself well stocked with berries so you can keep your Pokemon in fighting shape.

Increased Spawn Rates And Community Days In Pokemon Go

POKEMON GO ON PC! Play Pokemon Go from your own home!

Pokemon now spawn more frequently in Pokemon Go, regardless of if the player is using an Incense or not. This is great for trainers who are still trying to complete their daily tasks or get candies for a specific Pokemon. Community Day is also receiving a small change as well. Originally, Community Days would reward players on a specific date and time with a chance to catch Shiny versions of a specific Pokemon. Due to COVID-19, Community Days have changed to be more “at home” friendly. The most recent Abra Community Day proved to be successful with this formula.

What You Can Do In Pokmon Go Without Leaving The House

| 15 Apr 2020

When Pokémon GO burst onto the scene in 2016, millions upon millions of people started walking around their local areas catching Pokemon and spinning PokéStops and battling at Gyms.

As crazy as it is, in many countries, going out isnt something you can do right now as the world battles the coronavirus. Whether youre in lockdown or are severely restricted on your movements, there are still some ways to play Pokemon GO.

The games developer Niantic has already implemented quite a few changes which make it easier to play without leaving home, including the following:

  • More Pokemon are spawning everywhere
  • Lures last 1 hour instead of 30 minutes
  • PokéStops drop more items, including PokéBalls
  • Eggs require only half the usual walking distance to hatch
  • You can store 20 Gifts and open 30 per day
  • 1-coin boxes in the shop which rotate each week
  • Bundle of 30 lures for 1 coin

In a blog post, Niantic explains that it is also working on quickly implementing a feature where Trainers will be able to raid together from home. A few details about how this will work have been announced along with other changes coming to the game for easier play without going out:

However, when the feature launches, Trainers will do the normal amount of damage and it’s only when the world gets back to normal that the reduced damage will be introduced. Niantic says it will be adjusting remote raiding over time, and may even allow you to invite a friend to remotely raid regardless of their location.

Go Battle League No Longer Requires You To Walk To Unlock Battles

Until April 13, after which Niantic might make another announcement to this effect, you don’t have to complete a walking requirement to access your battles in Battle League. If you’ve already started a walking cycle, you just have to finish the one you’re on and then you won’t have to start another for a while.

How To Win A Raid Battle

Winning a raid battle is not as easy as your average gym match. Boss Pokemon are seriously powerful, with a difficulty ranging from level 1 to level 5. The higher the level, the higher the CP. Fortunately, youre not alone. Anyone who has a Raid Pass can join the battle, with up to 20 players in a a group. Combat is like any gym battle: attacks are the same, you can heal your Pokemon, or even flee and rejoin the battle as long as the raid isnt over.

Victory. You and your team have done the hard work and taken down the Boss Pokemon. Balloons fall from the ceiling, the fireworks go off, and the credits roll. Not so fast. There are more rewards to be had. Once you beat the Boss, you and your group are rewarded with potions, revives, and coins. You also get Premier Balls, which are the only kind of Pokeball you can use to capture the Boss. The amount of Premier Balls awarded depends on how well you did in the battle, and they disappear after your attempt to capture the Boss is over, so you want to be careful and take your time. Make sure to use lots of berries to improve your chances. Once all the Premier Balls run out, the Boss Pokemon flees.

Is There A Way To Play Pokmon Go Without Walking

Since it got released in 2016, Pokémon Go became one of the most popular smartphone games. Many people were wondering all around the cities they live in to catch as many characters as they could. There are over 600 types of Pokémon that you can collect, and they are divided into different classes. Also, the great advantage of this video game is that it motivates people to become more active. We have seen many people who started hiking, backpacking, or having many other activities with the goal to find some rare type of virtual character in this game.

The game became so popular in recent years, and there were even many festivals where people could gather and collect various characters while hanging out with each other. For example, there was a festival in 2017 in Chicago with more than 20,000 people. Also, developers were placing Poke stops around interesting monuments, museums, parks, and many other places where a large group of people can meet each other and compete over who will catch more Pokémon.

However, the main issue with this game starts in 2020, with the outbreak of the coronavirus and most of the world being locked down in quarantine. The main goal of this game is to become more active and to go outside and socialize with other people, which became impossible during the lockdown. That was the main reason why some developers made it possible for people to continue playing this video game while they are at home.

Pokmon Go’s Community Day: Stay At Home Edition Actually Works

At its core, Pokémon Go has always been about getting players up and moving, traveling to places of local interest, and meeting up with Pokémon fans from all over. Go is even in the name! So, in a time of social distancing, shelter in place orders, and so many quarantined, Pokémon Go and games like it have really had to adapt their gameplay to keep players safe. In March 2020, this meant canceling Community Day for the first time in over two years.

It was a hard choice to make because now, more than ever, we need community, but it was also the right choice. So, when just a little over a month later, Niantic announced Community Day had been rescheduled, many players were skeptical.
